I would love to see a Top Community MMO oppinion list even more simply bcause not only is the gameplay important in an mmo but the community makes a big impact on how good the MMO is.

    1. WoW (Most players, even if they are 12 yrs old, and the most addictive gameplay)

    2. FFIX (Final Fantasy was the funnest series of all time and the community of this game is very nice and seems to always have someone to pick up a group with.)

    3. LOTRO (This MMO sucked me in because im a Tolkien fan and like many others found this game to have many aspects of his books everywhere in this world. There also seem to be soo many people playing this game at one time it makes it feel like its definitly worth playing even while many people are waiting for the anticipated new releases in 2008)

    4. EQ2 (Loved the graphics and above all the character creation, the crafting system appealed to me too and though it didnt seem to be really easy to find a group there was always a way to finish quests alone and efficiently while still enjoying the game.)

    5. Tabula Rasa (New type of gameplay and a community that all seem to be ready for anything since there are many on the same level as you would be at any time. This is of course because of its a new release but the way its going this is going to continue to be quite a hit, especially when the new patches start releasing some great stuff (housing, mechs, ect.)

UO, DAOC, and EQ are not on here because though they are great, amazing games the community died in them and to me that means alot of the fun died with it.

    1)  EvE:   A game made fascinating by both the game mechanics and the players themselves.

    2)  WoW:  The only game I have maxed a character in.

    3) Ultima Online:   I got a free demo with a PC Gamer magazine back in 2000 and despite laughing out loud   at the graphics (even back then) I was hooked.

    4)  City of Heroes.   A real blast (until I got past lvl 40).

    5)  Everquest 2:  The newer zones are breathtaking and there is so much to do.

    6)  Lineage 2:  My first pk! (and first time being pk'd).   Playing knowing that at anytime you could be ganked and lose your uber wand of greatness to another player was almost too much to bear.   Beautiful graphics (even by today's standards).

    7)  Anarchy Online:  My first 3D mmo.   Very complex "implant" system.   Complex enough for me never to really learn it.   My brawler (is that right?) made it to lvl 30 before I called it quits.

Games I have played but didn't like:

    1)  2 Moons:   Take a low content Korean hack'n slash Grind-a-thon, translate it to English (poorly), add some blood and foul language (to get a mature rating) slap some guys name on it (David Perry) and you'll have 2 Moons.

    2)  Guildwars:   Coming from City of Heroes, I could not get past the fact that not only could I NOT jump, but I couldn't swim either, and obstacles of 1" required that I run around them.    This annoyance coupled with the fact that I never felt like I was playing an mmo ruined this game for me.

    3)  Vangaurd:   I bought this game the day it came out.   I knew during character creation that I had made a mistake.   I was stuck in a building wall withing 10 minutes of my first day.    The biggest let down (mmorpg wise) of my life and the reason today  why I refuse to buy anything that does not offer me a reasonable trial period.

    1. Guild Wars, been playing since Beta Weekend.

I was late to the MMO scene (CURSE YOU DIALUP!!!) so I never played to old school amazing UO.... And since there are few MMOs out that I really like (though several I want to try...) I won't bother ranking others. But when GW2 and Darkfall come out, we shall see, it will be so hard to choose.

mm? EVE Online is your number 1 game?

What happened to those millions of Vanguard:SOH subscribers you predicted Copeland?

    I was wrong.

Vanguard was never going to have a million subs, anyone who has a brain coulda seen that.

Nice the guy has the balls to admit he was wrong and you decide to try to kick him in them to, what, prove you are smart or something.

Here is a tip, someone who has the balls to admit they are wrong doesn't care if you think they are stupid.
