Warhammer Online... Cancelled?

"It is with a great deal of sadness that I have to inform the community that we have decided to discontinue the development of Warhammer Online and will be closing down this website with immediate effect.

This has been a difficult and painful decision but it was taken following a full review of the progress of the game, costs to date and future costs of the project. As a result both Games Workshop and Climax Development Limited, the computer games developer, have agreed to terminate the development project.

I would like to say a personal thanks to all of the people who have followed our development over the last few years, your constant support and enthusiasm has meant a great deal to us.

    Yes, Warhammer was canceled not long after E3.  We reported it here and there was a bit of discussion about it on the boards.

    its a big shame it looked very good, but I wouldnt be suprised if this is not the only MMORPG canceled over the next year, Ultima Oddesy already got shut down shortly after I think.

    Yes another potential great british game down the drain sad to say.

    With adellion way beyond its sell by date for me ,it leaves only dragons empire as the only worthwhile british game on the market.

    Thankfully,codematers have issued a statement that they have no intention of dropping DE.I hope they keep their word.

    well no rent things obviously werent going to add up so the made the decision to cut their losses, it wasnt retarded it saved them a lot of money

    Way too many MMORPGs trying to come out (Cause everyone's trying to cash in big), they can't all make it. It's a shame, but there have to be losers and winners in everything. Especially in gaming.

    And I dont think these dumbasses get it either. They're all making EQ/DAoC clones. Which DAoC already was a tad bit of a clone on EQ. So in essence, it's just turning into a bastard child of first-gen MMRPG's, which after playing the original for two years. Who wants to play the same shallow crap.

    Since this game is Cancelled... Why hasn't it been REMOVED from the MMORPG Games List?
