Just start list the best FREE mmorpg's you can think of.  If you could, please put their web site for me.  I really need a new mmorpg, maybe something like diablo if you can, but not muonline.  Also, please don't list any BIG client download games.  i can't get anything over 100mb.  I know i'm asking alot, but someone's got to know 1 or 2.

there is a list up above, and all free mmorpgs are not very good compared to the more mainstream ones. if you looking for a free online game get america's army. its not a mmorpg but its still fun

    Playing: Star Wars Galaxies, Tibia
Beta/retired: lineage 2, darkages Saga of Ryzom, conquer, runescape, raganarok, knight online
hope to play: face of mankind, everquest 2

I'm a really nice guy, so I'll help you out in finding them, not giving them. If your as desperate as you say, you'll do this.

1.) check out www.onrpg.com and check out the totally frees, most of them are junk, but there may be some of a little quality.

2.) Goto www.mpogd.com and do an advanced search for totally free. Not only can you find mmorpgs, but also an assortment of first person shooters, strategy games, and flight sims. Again, quality may not be as great.

3.) Get a job, seriously. Most mmorpgs cost 10 a month, that's only 2 hours of pay at minimum wage. Mow lawns if you can, summer's a great time for that.

4.) Goto google and type "free mmorpgs", then after weeding through thousands of useless sites, you may find something.

5.) Try runescape, most ppl hate it, but when your in a slump between games it's pretty good. Most mmorpg's look like crap until you start playing them.

6.) Dont post asking for a general game. If your looking for something specific, then maybe yes, but saying "I need a good free game" just makes people mad.

Is it me or is this the same post that keeps popping up every other day? Doesn't any one out there understand that you get what you pay for, and if you going to pour hour upon hour into something don't you want it to at least feel worthwhile? I'm mean yea, you might be able to find a "decent" free MMORPG out there, but wouldn't you feel better wasting your days playing a successful and more importantly "populated" MMORPG? Yes I know you maybe to young to use a credit card, but no one is stopping you from getting a job and opening a bank account with a debit card. My debit card works the same as any other credit card. Interlacer is right you shouldn't even have to work that much. Finally, IF THERE WERE AND AWESOME FREE MMORPGs, THEY WOULD HAVE THEIR OWN FORUM UNDER RELEASED GAMES!!!

Guild Wars will revolutionize the mmorpgs. Its created by ex-members of Starcraft, Warcraft and Diablo sagas.Youll have to pay retail cost, but you wont pay monthly fees.

He made it sound like his system can't handle Guild Wars but I totally agree that it will revolutionize MMO's in that it will be one of the best while still being free therefore it will up the bar we have to sink money into every month. Hope you find the game you are lookin' for.

I would bet more than 40% of the people who likes guild wars are because it doesn't have a monthly fee. But I will bet you they will be disappointed once they find out a new expansion releases every few months. There is no different, you'd still be forking out equal or close amount of money if you are paying monthly.

Well, you dont really need to buy the expansions for Guild Wars, is up to you.

And i dont think youll get disavantages, remember, GW is a mmorpg based in the strategy and tactics. So if you are the stupid guy with a fckn char top level, who just clicks the monster and waits 10 seconds to loot it, and then mess n00bs because you have great loot, you wont like this game

air..... air is free, or there a tax on that? Oh well....

What I dont understand, if your not willing to put the time in to find something yourself, what makes you think others will? (example: Searching for a free game)

If the diablo crowd goes to guild wars I am certainly not going there, even if it were no cost at all and the best game in mmo history.

Hehe, spend 5 minutes in any general chat in diablo or battle.net and then tell me there is hope for todays youth? ::::02::

Thinking these kids will actually at some point be part of humanitys genepool could friggin scare DR.Mengele.

Technically you are paying taxes just to stay in the country you are in, which can be translated into paying for the air your breathe. Your government technically owns the air around you, and they will be making you work, or go to school and pay taxes etc, you may not be handing over money but you will at least be handing over time in exchange for being allowed to breathe their air.

Get yourself ZMud. Then choose from one of THOUSANDS of free online MUDs out there. Some of them are really spectacular. Of course, if you are hung up on the whole 'graphics' thing then they probably aren't for you.

You could use your imagination, but then, if you knew how to do that, you wouldn't have posted in the first place.

Everyone wants games for free. Not much out there that's worthwhile for free. I'd suggest a MUD (tho you wind up having to pay for some of the bigger and better ones) if you don't want to shell out cash. Besides, MUDs are fun!

Guild Wars isnt an MMORPG in my eyes.  You cant hunt monsters with more than a group of 8, and the only real place where multiple people can mingle with each other is in staging areas or towns, and even then its not that great.

The only way you'll ever get a quality mmorpg is if you fork over money on a monthly basis.

Think of it this way, if the devs are actually of high quality, its like getting a new game every half a year.

well heres my noob question, didn't wanna ask, but now I got to. What does MUD stand for? It's a term I've only come across since starting on these forums, and always assumed it was just another term for mmo. Appriciate it image
