Greetings fellow Dwarf enthusiasts. This is an out of character recruitment thread for Warhammer Online.
Stone and Steel has been around a long time, and to a Dwarf age means respect. We have accomplished many things in our time, from being a top ten realm point earner server-wide on DAoC's Percival server for over a year to having the first Dwarf Grand Marshal on WoW's Bleeding Hollow server.
Stone and Steel is a Dwarf-only RP/PvP North American guild that was founded in 1999. We recruit mature, friendly, and skilled players who choose Dwarfs as their primary characters in online games. We are looking for players who combine an enjoyment of player vs player combat with an enjoyment of roleplaying a Dwarf. If you can bring these two characteristics together, then we may want you.
Stone and Steel is one of the oldest Dwarf-only guilds in the online gaming scene and certainly one of the best with a long and proven track record in several games. The guild atmosphere is friendly and fun, but also mature and competitive.
Stone and Steel isn't for everyone. If you don't enjoy PvP, if you aren't a Dwarf fanatic, if you're lacking maturity, then you won't last long in Stone and Steel, assuming you make it in at all.
We believe that to be the best, you need to recruit the best and we are leaving no stone unturned in our search for the next generation of Dwarf heroes. If you think you have what it takes and would like to be part of the toughest group of Dwarfs in Warhammer Online, stop by our Beardlings Barracks and submit an application to join.
Become feared on the battlefield by your enemies and respected off of it by your peers, join Stone and Steel. You will not find a finer Dwarf RP/PvP guild on North American servers.

Stone and Steel is opening up recruiting for Engineers and Ironbreakers again, however the need for these professions is low. Thus, we are being extremely selective for these careers. Only the best Engineers and Ironbreakers will be accepted. Cheers and good luck!

'At's tha problem with minin' inta Gobbo territory. Ya can nay find proper caves without fear of a cave-in. Shoddy work does nay near rival the quality of Dwarf craftmanship! Greetings ta ya all, and big welcome from tha lads at Stone and Steel!
I am gonna have to take this "Bartle" test just for the fun of it. Interesting way of recruiting! Only problem I have is that I don't drink, so I would be hard-pressed to be a proper dwarf. Now, if they would only come up with dwarven kool-aid to compliment dwarven meade!
The Bartle test is pretty interesting. Many of us take it a couple times a year just to get a bearing on where we're going and growing as MMO players. Highly recommended!
Stone and Steel has made it into WAR guild beta, and even though we will be busy testing for bugs and glitches, we are still looking for stout and valiant Dwarfs.
As we approach our class quotas, initiation is going to become more and more selective, so only the best applications are going to be accepted. If you are interested in joining one of the best and oldest Dwarf regiments, come by our site and read up on our FAQ's (and by all means, buy our Longbeards an ale in the Foamymug).
Damn Warfield its a small world. I doubt if you remember me from Bleeding Hollow way back in the day but I remember grouping with you and being in the same AB from time to time.

I was a Human Warrior... and a lvl 53 or something Human Priest named Stild. Never a Gnome or a caster though
Stone and Steel has temporarily closed recruitment due to being selected to participate in the upcoming guild beta for Warhammer Online. This has been done so we may focus on getting accustomed to WAR's testing process. Once we are proficient testers, selective recruiting will be opened once again. When this happens exactly will depend on how early we begin testing. If we are in by September, we might be welcoming applications as early as October.
In the meantime, we are only accepting beta participants to apply. If you are currently beta testing, and would like to join Stone and Steel, please review our FAQ's and apply in our Beardling Barracks. Cheers!
In light of the recent announcement that WAR beta servers will be taken offline for two months, Stone and Steel recruitment has been re-opened. If you have posted an application after recruitment was closed in September and are still interested in becoming a member, please bump your application thread in the Beardling Barracks so that it can be reviewed. Stone and Steel is one of the oldest Dwarf-only rpg guilds in existence today and certainly one of the most successful with a long and proven track record in several games. Lead by its founder, Warfield Goblincleaver, Stone and Steel was formerly known as the Champions of Brell, which originally formed in Everquest on the Bertoxxulous server in August of 1999.
Stone and Steel recruits mature, friendly, and skilled players who choose Dwarfs as their primary characters in online games. We take these games seriously, striving to be the best at our chosen classes while maintaining a strong roleplayed environment. The guild atmosphere is friendly and fun, but also mature and competitive. Our membership is primarily North American and play during the EST through PST time zones, but we also have members from Europe who play earlier in the day. We are looking for players who combine an enjoyment of player vs player combat with an enjoyment of roleplaying a Dwarf. If you can bring these two characteristics together, then we may want you.

Due to participating in the WAR beta, Stone and Steel recruitment is once again closed to everyone except other WAR beta testers.
Leaders of this guild will be too busy in the coming weeks to properly review interested Dwarfs' applications. Until we are organized in beta and able to comfortably submit feedback and bugs with minimal effort, recruitment will remain closed. Once things are running smoothly in beta, we will re-open selective recruitment.

Greetings all,
We have decided to increase our maximum member size from 100 to 200 Dwarfs. We have opened up recruitment to all Dwarf careers in order to accomplish this. If applying as an Ironbreaker, please let us know if you will be offensive-spec'd or defensive-spec'd. Before applying, please re-read the original post in this thread to see if Stone and Steel is the right guild for you.

Good news everyone! With the recruitment capped changed we now have lots of room for new aspiring Dawi! Stop b the forums, read the FAQ, and place an application. Stone and Steel now has over twenty members who can say "There is a beta, and I am in it!".

With less than a quarter of our regiment in beta we still manage to show the might of the Dwarfs day in and day out. The High King will indeed be proud of Stone and Steel when we finally march out as a whole to do battle against destruction.

Greetings all,
I am pleased to announce that Stone and Steel has formed on Phoenix Throne, one of the RP Core-Ruleset servers based in North America and that we are still looking for more Dwarfs! We are at approximately half our membership cap of 200 Dwarfs. At the time of this writing, our guild is almost rank 11 and has already gained quite a bit of renown amongst the forces of order.
