Tabula Rasa is also the highest-rated MMOG right now, and thus the best.

Anyway, I'll pass on the flamebait, but this thread could become rather amusing.

Bar the combat system, both games near enough offer the same content... It's more a prefrence to FPS or RPG, seeing how most of your 'typical gamer' for MMOs sound like Halo 3 is the 'bestest game 'ver', headshots for all.. thus explaining why TR is top, although it's heavly lack of key content promised since mid beta, players just love FPS games..

Still think that AoC will be for 'the hardcore' and 'l33t' where as WAR feels 'just for fun', fun is good...

In the end all games are rated by one vote. Yours.

If you like TR, EQ1, FURY or WoW. Play them. To hell with what anyone else thinks about your game. They are not paying for the subs

AoC and WAR have been lying around 7.4-7.3 for quite a long time now. I'm pretty sure AoC was on 7.3 and WAR on 7.4 not long ago and the other way round some time before that. It's quite variable.

So long as neither of these games pull a vanguard and are actually playable at release with real content and are fun, who care which is best.

I feel AOC will be way too graphics intensive like EQ II was at realease and war will be missing the fun factor WOW had at release

600-700 more people have voted for WAR meaning that those people dont think highly of the game.

My family is looking forward to the finished version, but we've come to realise that this is still probably realistically another 8 months away. I think thats why the hype is where it is.

Exactly how I feel, well said.

Out of every 100 men, 10 should not be there,
80 are nothing but targets, 9 are the real fighters.
Ah, but one, ONE of them is a warrior,
and he will bring the others home.

I'm looking forward to both games. I was more interested in AOC when I first heard about these two games, but WAR is starting to grow on me. I'm looking forward to trying both and picking the one I enjoy. Regardless of what other gamers believe about the games.

2008 should be an interesting year.

It would depend on the size of each.

You know, I played Vanguard at release and had no playability issues.  It played quite well - it just was not fun.

I don't think AoC graphics will be an issue.  They don't look all the high-end - at least on the servers I've seen at shows.

I believe another poster was correct - it will come down to preference assuming both games have a solid launch.  They are very similar in goals.  The question you must ask yourself is whether you want more or less structure in your PvP.

All the above means is the AOC fanboies spend more time making alt accounts to 1) flame war forums and 2) vote war a 1 (0) and AOC a 10.

Nail on the head if i do say so.
