Well what would you know , not mere month after EA ( also known as Company that only does sequels until they become so boring that the original developer , bought by EA is closed and liquidated ) purchased Bioware....
There is an unnoficial announcement that Bioware is developing Jade Empire 2
Oh joy !

You're such a negative person, every time I see your post it's always negative and condescending. Seriously man grow up. So what if there's a sequel. Jade Empire was a great game with great lore. Id love to see that universe expanded, as would many others Im sure. Just because YOU dislike something, you don't have to spread your negativity to others. EA just aquired Bioware, how the hell can you say RIP? You know the future? Regardless of EA's owning Bioware, people will continue to purchase their products due to the fact that BIOWARE makes good games. Is EA making Biowares games? No...BIOWARE is making the games. Same ole company.
p.s. Happy New Year
QFT! Get over it.
I'm afraid he's right. EA makes it's money by buying up and grinding out the competition. Once they buy a company, they milk it for everything it's worth and then dump it by the roadside.
Its impressive how the starbucks business model is being used in so many other industries. In the end all thats left will be a very bland world.

Due to the recent economic crisis and spending cuts the light at the end of the tunnel was turned off. Sincerely, God.
Here's a fact you're ignoring: EA's CEO is Bioware's CEO. Why would the CEO for two companies want to trash his other company?

Oops wait !
EA liquidated them !
It happens all of the time. It wont make any sense from a financial point of view to have 2 of every bill imaginable when you can consolidate everything down to one company. It increases profits by cutting back on the over head.
I work for a company that just did the very same thing to a smaller similar company. You go in and fire or layoff everyone working for the other company and move everything they had and were doing in to your building. No reason to have 2 buildings to do one job. No reason to have double the staff when you can just put a little bit extra on your current employees. It really only makes sense from a financial point of view.
Isnt that the goal? To one day be successful enough to be bought out by EA for millions?
See you in the dream..
The Fires from heaven, now as cold as ice. A rapid ascension tolls a heavy price.
True, but Bioware is a fracking huge company with too many assets which can't be folded in with a typical merger. If they PO some key team members on some titles which Bioware is working on right now they might as well consider the millions for the merger as 'charity.' If they're considering profitability, it's profitable to LEAVE THE COMPANY ALONE when it comes to the core teams, support and etc. I think EA is changing as we've seen Mythic this is evidenced, and it's probably for the better.

No we didnt see nothing from Mytic yet.
Nobody knows how WAR will turn out , and what will be its future.
Judging from FLS and Hellgate. EA didnt change at all
(But thats one of the few cases EA did not force developers to release a game early & they do have a bad habit of eating up smaller studios).
EA has a very bad track record of running titles into the ground with TOO many expansions...... Medal Of Honor is a big one. And im not entirely happy about them having EXCLUSIVE rights to the NFL name. Seriously how can you justify free and honest competition when no one else can make a game in that sport. Kinda lame if you ask me. I was the biggest fan of NWN before WoW hit the shelves. I played a module called Neversummer and i was gonna buy NWN2 when their new module came out but knowing that EA owns BioWare now i have no intention to.

Not gonna comment on all of the companies you listed here... however! Origin ruined Origin, not EA. Origin got lazy and failed to put out good product. After enough failed attempts to even launch anything the promised, let alone complete or achieve any "goals" they got shut down. EA did make fair offers to the staff that continued to show their worth, and gave the rest fair warning to look elsewhere. Blaming EA for the evils of the world is wrong. EA is not perfect by any means, and have made more than their fair share of mistakes, but blaming them for Origins failure is slightly inaccurate.
There's is really nothing positive about EA doing anything on this planet. Face it.
