Euro / US - Version/Servers - Buying, HELP

Hi , so i'm in Europe.

Should I buy the US or European version of the game? I heard euro servers are less populated, just wondering if that was true and if there was any other things should know about.

I think it sucks that it simply isnt all one thing and you access the european servers from the same game.

I read that you can not login to the American servers if you have European version and vice versa, I've been playing on the american servers in the trial and I do not lag it seems... so yeh, opinions please , advice.

 

Also if I did buy American would it pull me up on my card being from europe or does it not matter, what do you other european play on, american or US?

I just kinda like my toon on the US server from trial and like the people there.... would hate to buy the game and find the european server sucks and full of lame people.

    Hello,

    the account system is different for US and EU players.

    For my experience Union EU server is well populated but i cannot compare with US servers, ofc.

    About the game version, the only difference is the updater that is first launched, the client itself is the same so u can simply have both updaters to play in both countries (the updater gives you the server list). Still the account limitation apply, so u need 2 different accounts to play both in US and EU (also the official forums are saparated).

    Which version you should buy, I don't really know. I'd guess the 'lame' population are about equal both places, but I don't know. It's been a very long time since I played on the european servers.

    As for what you read about the game, not being able to log onto american servers with a european account, that's unfortunately true (as state by the above poster). So you have to choose where you want to be.

     

    If you decide to buy the american version you'll get to play on the american servers, you have to specify (if purchasing from the NCSoft store) which version you buy. Atleast I haven't had any problems re-subscribing to the american servers. (When I bought it, there were only american version available).

    I've played mostly on the american servers, there was a shortish time I tried the european servers after european CoV was released and I took advantage of the free account/character copy they had. I never really got into the community (just played with my friends/soloed), so can't say if there's more or less lame people there, and this was quite some time ago anyways.

    Sorry I can't give you a better advice, but I think it's mostly up to you. Good luck with your choice.
