Please tell me they ditched the auto face idea...

You have the good system like WOW where in combat it doesn't auto face your characters and then you have the bad EQ2 version where you click on a player and it auto faces you giving the oponent no advantage of running around to try and dodge the attacks.

What one did they go for cause the 2nd would ruin PVP.

FYI, In EQ2 you can turn it off. You can also set it to face them, but not 100% lock onto them. There are several options. People who actually play the game and take the time to look into its complexity would understand the massive amount of freedom the game offers. It caters to bother players. Lock on or not. So please reframe from mindless EQ2 bashing or at least get it right if you're going to.

On topic: Who cares. WAR is going to be garbage. Swap PVP with PVE in WOW and what do you get? WAR.. awesome.. yeppy.. so excited.. NOT

having the option makes it just as bad as no option cus it'll still give people with it on the advantage and EQ2's PVP sucks.

It doesn't give an advantage. WTF do you think it's like? DAoC /stick? ROFL! Do you even play the game?

Beyond melee range the sticky targeting BREAKS! which means once you back up to much or someone moves to much.. it will no longer auto face.

If it's done properly it'll work just fine as how EQ2 did it. Bad example of sticky targeting? DAoC, but I believe they did away with it.

      Hypocrisy much?

You get pissed at some guy for bashing EQ2 with little to no evidence, and then proceed to end your post with "WAR is going to suck because it is just WoW with PvP". Hello, Pot.

I don't care what your opinion is, as I'm sure your about to elaborate for me in great detail now. You're entitled to it, and if you think WAR sucks, fine. You're not alone. But you're not entitled to be hypocritical in your opinions, and I needed to point that out.

Back on topic, as far as we know, auto-face is not in.

What he means is , he doesnt want auto face. so basically he proabably plays a warrior or rogue in WOW. He runs circles around his opponent  normally a caster who in turn cant cast on him. So basically he just wants to gain an advantage on those with poor connections or slow computers.

    Krileon quotes:

"On topic: Who cares. WAR is going to be garbage. Swap PVP with PVE in WOW and what do you get? WAR.. awesome.. yeppy.. so excited.. NOT"

Why are you posting on a WAR forum, if you don't like the game?

Why are you replying, just to say that WAR is garbage and why are you saying "Who cares?", because he cares.

Why are you complaining about people who make a conclusion to quick, when you do it too?

Why are you talking about EQ2 auto-facing when this is about WAR

Have that said, i think you won't have auto facing, maybe an option. If you always have auto-facing PvP is quite annoying, because you can't run away and when somebody hits you, you look to him (when he hits you in the back) and that is quite annoying, so they will leave it out or get it as an option.

Circle strafing IS PvP since the first shots were fired in Doom. People with bad computers and/or connections will disadvantage either way, circle strafing or not, they should either fix it or l2deal with it. However they are not the ones to cry usually, non skilled people not able to push even two buttons at once are.

Subscribtions: EVE, SWTOR WOW, WAR, DDO, VG, AOC, COV, FFXI, GW, RFO, Aion
    +plenty of F2P, betas, trials

Female Dwarf player: WOW, VG, WAR, DDO
    .
Due to the recent economic crisis and spending cuts the light at the end of the tunnel was turned off. Sincerely, God.

...yeah and we know how realistic fps pvp is ...lawl. Roll, roll ,jump, jump, cart wheel . Which leaves me with my basic conclusion. I can play either way, but Im not on the forums lobbying one way or the other. If the game is good, I can play eithre style.

Slanmage let it be known in another thread that she will not be playing WAR because all of her friends said it was EXACTLY like WoW, so the only reason she comes here is to make flame threads. Ignore her.

Does not change the fact that if she hadn't talked people here would have totally the wrong image of EQ2 thanks to mister misinformation up there. But then again all the Warries would be throwing roses and pink sunglasses would fall from the sky without that ^^

Don't you get it? She already knows all the answers to her own questions, she just makes threads and statements like this for the sake of being an idiot.

Let me be the first to say, "Who gives a  about autoface?"

The only people it bothered in games like DAoC were archers. Big deal, now go away.
