After four years

I've gone through World of Warcraft and Guild Wars. Played WoW for nearly six months before ditching it and leaving it alone for a poor excuse to make a game. Played Guild Wars and still do but it's just not the same as DAoC. I miss the game and want to come back and play it more but the one reason why i quit playing it was becuase i was inexperienced in the true ways of the game. How your armor, unlike most games, actually can keep you alive long past due and your weapons and buffs and stuff. the game was just a outstanding. Before i do though i would like to know a few things.

What server has the best population?

Are there any guilds that are active throughout the day and that are helpful that would welcome me among their ranks. (not looking for Pling)

Hows the lvl 20 RvR or hows the RvR period.

I want my come back to be the best before switching to WAR.

I'd appreciate any help outs.

Nowadays in general the North American classic server is where it's at.  The population there is quite good compared to the rest of the servers.  As I'm writhing this the population on the classic server cluster is 2300+.  Almost as good as the servers at launch.  When you create a character the game automatically shoehorns you into a starter guild with the rest of the people who are starting out.  This makes it easier to find people your own level to play with.  From there on if you feel that you want an actual guild I'm sure there are guilds who will take you.  You just have to ask around.

The lvl 20 BG is usually pretty packed.  There's always action to be found unless it's 4 in the morning and everybody is passed out.  Even the 15-19 BG has people in it, more or less most of them have action in them and it's quite worth it to go in there since the exp gained from pvp is much better then the pve stuff.

If nothing else get a trial account and test the waters before you dive in.  That way you get 10 free days to play and see what the deal is.  Also if you haven't played in quite a while go back to your account and just log in.  Mythic has given out free 10 days just to kind of lure you back in.

No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
