While I respect Paul on a number of issues his economic policies would destroy the US economy and create havoc in the world economy.

Not even if I could. Big words and bigger promises don't get the job done.

Well at least Huackabe has a plan to fuck you over.  May as well go with that, since he has a plan. LOL

I disagree, I think he is very serious about everything he says, and I trust him to stick to his principles far more then I do anyone else in the race. The problem is that some of those principles are really bad ideas that would never work in practice.

He lacks the pragmatism to make a good President, which is close to the opposite of being “all talk”

I would be concerned about who people are voting for, and about the ignorant "he's all talk" crowd.  But I've been liberated from that concern.  You see, they don't care how we vote.  It means nothing.  Hillary Clinton was picked as our next President years ago.  If you think we have a national democracy, you're living in a delusion.

Seems most people are more comfortable to vote for clones of the same ol' shitbags as presidents than an actual intellectual and good human being... I donno, if RP doesn't win I'll lose a lot of faith in the American People, unless someone like Kucinich wins who is also a good man... most of the other candidates are pretty much NeoCon pocket crooks.

Unless the election is fixed which wouldn't surprise me, I will definitely think less of American's in general instead of their government if they vote for someone who continues to ignore the constitution and continues the same crap clinton/bush have been doing.

It's evil enough for the good to do nothing.... so even if the people are good, if they don't do anything by voting for someone who isn't a tool... well I guess you get what you asked for.

I'm going to try something a little different this election. I'm going to be like everyone who voted for Bush in the last 2 elections and vote Republican and say I voted for the lesser of the two evils.

Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!

I hope he wins, if only so I can mock all the fanatics that think any of his ideas will ever get put into effect when he becomes a total lame duck president from day 1.

Could any of you Ron Paul cultist nutters please provide one link... I'm just asking for ONE... That gives a description from Ron Paul on HOW he's going to execute all these wonderful plans he's got. I could run for president and promise everyone free everything forever, but without a plan to execute that, the only people that would vote for me are the people that are voting for Ron Paul in this year's election.

And to those of you jumping on the "But he's such a good man" or "I trust everything he says!" bandwagon, that most likely (we've seen it plenty before) that he's just a good politician. Not "Good" as in he does right by everybody, I mean he's just good at what he does. Its just like sales... I can rip you off and make you leave my store thinking I gave you a fantastic deal, and you'll refer me business later etc. etc. if I'm good at sales. Politics is the same thing.

After the last 8 years of a clumsy, corrupt and idiotic regime---I mean administration, America needs the world's largest PR campaign of ALL TIME!!!

We do not need a massive overhaul yet, Ron Paul would be more electable in 8-16 years.  We need major damage control right now, and we need a prez that will put us back on the map as being the major diplomacy force of the world.  Obama is the only person fit for this job.  Hope my friends, we need a gigantic dose of it in these dark days...

Anyway you slice it though, no matter who gets elected, the only direction is up....  Right?  Please tell me it is...

I've only seen totally retarded arguments against Ron Paul, you've not even looked into his claims yet you make claim after claim based on lies you conjure up about him, that's idiotic.

The way you guys go on it seems you don't even know how your country is actually run just listen to whatever mainstream media tells you.

Even you use the word "claims" when referring to Ron Paul. This doesn't really say much against my point. And please point out one "lie" I made about Ron Paul. All I did was make a generic statement about politicians. Spin it however you want, Paul definitely has a great PR crew working for him, but at the end of the day he's still a politician... Doctor or not.

The way you guys go on it seems you don't even know how your country is actually run just listen to whatever mainstream media tells you.

I don't watch TV news stations nor do I read the newspaper, nor do I "listen to whatever the mainstream media tells" me, but make all the baseless claims that you want.

May check into this later, but if all I see is more of what I've seen of Ron Paul (I've had this guy shoved down my throat for the last several months) and its all "what I'm gonna do" instead of "this is what I'm gonna do, and how I'm gonna do it",  you'll just have furthered my point again.

Oh yeah, top priority: Explain in detail the plan of action and inner working of all plans to Infliction.  He must be told.  Thats the only way things can work is if random internet dude gets all the details....

Look into it or remain in ignorance.  Its your choice "Internet dude".  Nobody gives two shits which way you go with it.

Cut the crap. Damn right, if someone wants my vote, they'd better have a damn plan laid out, not just tell me "It'll work out".

Guess you accept everything at face value, correct? In that case, vote for me as President. I have a great plan to fix everything. I'll tell you it after I win.

Look.  If theres a plan of action for cleaning the latrines, you'll be first to know.  When it comes to establishing a new currency system, you're going to be the last to know.  Tell me this; who are you voting for, and what "how we gonna do it" plan have they expressed?

That's one damn fine reason to not vote for Ron Paul.

I don't care when they clean the latrines. i do care if they're claiming those toilets cost $3500 each to cover up expenses elsewhere.

Secondly, I know more about the Amero than you may think, so guess I'm not the last to know, eh?

As far as who I'm voting for, i'll let you know. So far, none of them are worth a shit outside of blowing lukewarm wind out of their pieholes.

  • Tuor7Tuor7 Member RarePosts: 982

I should run for President. I do have plans... that nobody would like. Well, there are people who would like some of them, but I doubt there is anyone that would like all of them. The treatment for what ails this country is very bitter and, at this point, might well kill the patient.

Not that it matters: people are going to vote for whomever blows the most smoke up their butts. They'd rather feel good than fix anything. None of the major candidates are going to change the direction this country is headed in, just tweak the course and speed a bit.

We all end up with the government we deserve.

  • Looks like alot of people dont realize is the President has to WORK with Congrees for domestic issues.  So a president cant just change domestic policy and Ron Paul knows that, he has said it in a few interviews.  His first thing he wants to do is end the Iraq War, the president does have that power.  President job is for more foreign affairs then domestic ones.
