Mage type, though uncertain due to all the changes i hear about them going on. But after trying those I'll defiantly be a ranger.

Could be a pure mage as well, but don't know until I have actually played a bit of the game.
I was certain I was going to roll a Conqueror. I'm not that sure anymore. Guess I'm down to conqueror, barbarian or Bear Shaman. I'll let a 1D9 decide
I will most likely make a barberian. The supposed abilities they get with weapons will be unique among the melee fighters so that sort of appeals to me. Also Conan himself is a barberian and look where it got him
If all else fails I'll just default to a rogue and sneak attack people for shits and giggles.

What exactly is the difference between Lich and HoX in terms of their roles and how they are played?
I think the lich has more spells than the herald of xolti but im not sure.
I doubt that's it. I would think it would just make people play a Litch more so then a Herald of Xolti... It sort of throws off the ballance of the whole thing. I could be wrong though.

Hox will be more offensivly based lich is more defensive.
I dont know. Ill probably try out healers and melee dps's until I find the one I like.
Anybody know how stealthing works. Just press button and you are invisible or do you need to search for shadow zones and so on?
This wont be WoW stealth, where you just hit a button and are instantly invisible.
The intention is that you'll have to use terrain, shadows, things like that. There will be checks based on sound and so on. So there will definitely be classes that are better at it than others.

heres few videos about the stealth, you might as well watch them and see if you find any answers to what you might have about stealthing, note that if im correct, every class has ability "hide" but other classes might be better of pulling that off than others. im quite sure that assassin is most capable to that kind of ability. im sure theres threads about this topic on the conan forums, you might as well want to go there and look for it

I know this game wont be about min/maxing everything, but I have always liked being the "tank/meatshield" and my friend will be playing a priest.. Atleast it should make us attractive in terms of PVE, and possible PvP with the ability to "tank/block other players way"
