I thought it was just a rumor that Canada gave free health care. Do they seriously do that? And if so, why the heck can't the US? BAH!
Oh, and underpants man, since the healthcare is free, you won't need to wear them, since they will be able to cure your frostbitten.. uh... joystick.
they give free healthcare if you don't mine being on a waiting list.
We brought a friend's Aunt from Canada to Maryland to get a possibly cancerous tumour removed from her neck because if she did it through Canada's way, you would be placed on waiting list. Her's was 4 months.
The Doctors in Maryland did conclude that it was cancerous....so if she would have waited...chanced are she would be dead now.
We paid her bill (2500) dollars; which was worth the money when it comes to someone's life.
Doctors in Canada were telling the U.S not to become like them back in the 90's when some people in Office was toying with the idea of free healthcare.
It shouldnt be made free just cheaper.

Ah man, I thought it was a rumor too! Thank god I wasn't the only one to think so.
And, joystick? LOL

Ya. Cheaper. No kidding. 15K for a 2 night 3 day visit. Ya....
But. The reason for it being so high in the first place is because of healthcare. If there was no medicaid/healthcare, etc. It'd be alot cheaper. Probably that visit instead of being 15K. Would of been about 2-3K.

things like free healthcare would mean more taxes
and more peopel would complain about that than not having free health care

I have no idea where the hell in Ohio Middlesburg Heights is, but I don't think it's close to me. I myself don't trust the local hospital, and would rather travel an hour (except in case of absolutely life-threatening detriments) to a hospital I know and trust...
ive enver heard of it either
im liek an hour 15 from Columbus
Personally, I dont mind paying taxes at all. I honestly have my employer take out the max taxes that they can (so that I dont get screwed come tax return time). If I didnt pay taxes, then someone else is paying for me to drive for free on these free roads with these free police/firemen/etc watching over me, etc etc.
The point is, that if you make enough that you are happy with your life (not greedy, but actually happy with your living as compared to the rest of the world), then you should be happy to pay the taxes. And no, I dont work for the government.

I'm about an hour from there... If you pay no attention to the speed limit, which is only common on I-90. It's rarer to come across someone going the speed limit.
I agree with you on some points, but you must be making a lot more money than me. I dont wanna create some big governmental argument. One point that I wanna say is, social security is being provided by our taxes now, but by the time most of us young guys get up to the point of needed it, it will have run out. Now THAT's a tax that I truly hate seeing being taken out of my paycheck.
I've never heard of it in my life. I live in a suburb of Columbus. Anyone heard of Dublin? It's where Wendy's was "born". Hehe if anyone has heard of Wendy's. And the Memorial Tournament, the only thing that piece of "crap" event brings is money and TRAFFIC! ARGH! I hate memorial week!
I had surgery 3 times, once they had to put metal rods in my back. Then entire surgery cost $52,000 and the rods themselves cost $32,000. Turns out I was allergic to the rods the doctor put in my back. It was hooked around my spine for a year. He later removed the rods in a sneak surgery, hehe. It sucked, my grades dropped. :[ It was a gruesome sight, and it's 3 years later and my back still hasn't healed where the scar is. No one knows why and I've been seeing a crap load of doctors of all sorts. I've seen dermatologists, regular everyday doctors, the original doctor who preformed the third surgery to sew the damn scar up. He obviously screwed it up. But anyways, I doubt there is a doctor out there that can seal it back up. It's a ghetto thing, they might as well put a zipper on it because sometimes it does heal, but then it opens back up right when we get our hopes up. Well, i've definatly shared too much.
I just wanted to tell you that medical crap is expensive. I could have taken that $52,000 and gotten myself a freaken kick ass car, a tiny house or 500 GREAT computers. Maybe even a super computer. Unless those are more expensive than 52k.
P.S. My twin brother got the same exact surgery, but because they knew I was allergic, they did metal testing, and he sure enough was allergic to Nikel too. I was the gunea pig and he was off the hook with Titanium rods. Those cost $50,000 or so themselves. His surgery was like $70,000 or something.
Ghetto situation, but I'll make it through!
Except the roads, the policemen, the firemen, etc. Are not connected to income taxes. They're connected to things like excise tax. etc. etc.
Income tax is mainly used for welfare, and social security. Which i figure, if I dont want either, why should I have to pay?
I have no problem with taxes. I have a problem with income tax. Crap. I wouldnt even have a problem with a census tax.
