Nice game

I have played many games in the years and it seems I become less impressed and hopeful with each new release. This game having played the trial has spurred me to buy it. I enjoy PVP and PVE of which It has both. All things being a bit unpolished atm but I see they are actively fixing bugs. I have read there are balanceing issueses. I did not find any during the "3 day trial". Like all new games the classes will have to be ironed out a bit. The future of the game seems bright if the implement the plans I have read about on these forums. My friends who enjoy EQ and EQ2 do not like the gun slinging that goes on in this game. I guess some people like swords more then guns. I like the change in theme myself.  I did not want to pay the $50 asking price from there TR site. I saw the game for less then half that on ebay. Ebay prices seemed to good to be true. I finnally picked it up at gogamer.com for $20. I figured that wont be a major loss if the game turns out to be a flop after a few weeks. I will let you know what I think after a few weeks.

thats sweet  but are you for real or is this a joke?

I take it you are not a fan?  Good news is that there are many varied games to play. If this one does not impress you try another. No joking here. I like the game because it is new. Not due to the recent release date but due to the different theme/story. Time will tell if it holds my interest for long.

$20 with a free month.....sounds like a bargain to me.  Hell, if you play it for a couple weeks you'll be getting a better deal than most FPS I've purchased lately....for $50 I might add.  Two weeks....beat em' or bored of em....done.

Good to see anyone get a good deal on something they enjoy.

Nah Vladiko your post just sounded like irony, my bad...

Its ok, have fun. Game is great while you dont start to think whats the purpose of all this to much.

For money you payed its well worthed and probably when you hit some higher level there will be some content implemented .

I am married with 2 kids. One is 3 and other is 6 months old. One of the major reasons I liked this game is that I can easily walk away with little regret or loss at any time. I love raiding on the more time demanding games but lack the time now since kids need attention. I can ask a group of friends to give me 5 min to clean up some spilt milk but asking and WoW 40 man raid or even more if on EQ to wait seems a bit much. If you guys know of another game that is not so time demanding let me know.

    Agreed.

Married with a brand new baby boy only 8 months old.  The game allows me to get in and get out when needed, yet allowing me to have fun from 10 minutes to 2 hours.  Only problem I have is that I want to keep playing and playing, but real life doesn't allow for it.

Wifes and children will not disturb you until you are doing something important in the game. You could sit in front of your PC all night doing nothing of importance but the moment you join a important battle you will hear the daddy call. Perhaps TR could put "great for marriages" in their advertisements

Married and with kids myself cant say that game is great cos it has shallow and dumbed down content.

In every mmo there is quests you can do in 10 min so lets be honest here, thats just not true cos you cant go through the instance in 10 min...

On my opinion it would be pros if we talk about quake or CS but to say that in mmo game is good when you can solo mission in 10 min is not a good thing...

I think this is the Game of the Family Man LOL!   Married with a just turned 1 year old son, who is very very much a daddy's boy.   And I just enjoy the hell out of this game, simple if you want to just bang around for an hour or two, but the story that goes with the missions is very well done and enjoyable to read.

I hear you. It will be interesting to see what the future brings in this game.

Got a 3 month old, (got some pics on myspace.)

Right now, he wants to do what papa does, he wants to stay up as long as papa does, and papa wants to stay up till baby goes to sleep so he can make sure hes OK...

Thing about TR that i totally hate is the fact that if I'm away for too long with my boy, changing a diaper  or feeding  him, or entertaining him with my wonderful voice, the damn game boots me out. So off i go when i got a bit of ME time, running back through the stupid instance.

It sucks that quests are really the only way to get anywhere in this game. Id rather grind monsters then grind out these boring assed quests over and over... I don't know why i cant just clone my lvl 30 toon across the board with all classes.

Anyhow that's me rambling, I'm a little grumpy about the  state game right now.
