Question about Horizon.

I played UO for 5 years, SWG for 1 year, Dark Age of Camelot for 1 year, and WWII Online for 1 year as well.

I was wondering if Horizons is a game that I will be hooked on as much as I was hooked on UO. I would like to find a game that would grab my attention as much as UO did ( My account got hacked because I was stupid and played a player shard with the same account name and password as my OSI account.).

Can anyone help me out telling me the similarities and differences between Horizons and UO?

I warn you.  DO NOT PLAY HORIZONS.  THe playable dragon race will entice you for a bit, then you will realize that this game is a 100% level grind, either crafting wise, or hunting wise.  I wasted $50 dollars, dont make my mistake.

This is the beginning of my past. This is the end of my journey.

I played UO...well not very long, but hubby played for about 6 years. Played SWG for almost a year and beta tested Horizons...and still playing it. I still enjoy it, although I don't have a dragon, but have made a couple dryads, or flutters I call  them, and enjoy playing them. My big characters are a elf cleric/outfitter and human ranger/weaver.

I will continue playing Horizons even after I start playing EQ2.

    Hi there

I've also played UO for a little more than a year. Got sick of the same old stuff and no changes, started looking for another MMO to play. I found Horizons.

I love Horizons, it's jolly good fun and the combinations of adventure levels and craft levels are almost unlimited provided you are a biped. Dragons only have two classes at the moment, craft and adventure. I do not play as a dragon :/

There's at the moment a lot of ranting, ruckus-raising and doomsaying about Horizons with AE going chapter 11 and all. But the latest patch was grande and works fine. Alot remains to be done but official AE plans state that a whole lot of changes are gonna be made live before August 31th, 2004.

And finally, yes I do believe this game will get you ever more hooked than UO ever could.
