Wow, Stephen is hard to read.  What a rambler.

I never thought an person could say, “don’t speculate”  with 2000 words, holy hell.

You DO realise it's an editorial, right? The writer basically has free-right to ramble, and obviously he enjoys what he does, so why give him a hard time for it?

He obviously can't make everyone happy, especially those with the attention span of a goldfish.

  • It really is amazing how people will fight to the death to defend the status quo

Well the status quo is that everything is going well in the development of AoC therefore defending the games current state of affairs in a plausible way is pretty much justified in my opinion.

However, with a few negative postings lately on the official boards and here to some extent about

    A) the vacation time Funcom have and

    B) someone wanting all the answers to specific questions right away and not getting them, therefore the game will be postponed etc etc

But the general consensus to do with the current state of affairs, from the majority of people who read about AoC weekly is that things are 'Rosey' defending that is totally cool ;)

  • I have been trying to determine what is actually making it into Conan while avoiding all the fanboy/dev hype but seems to be next to impossible when it comes to this game. Most of the Dev speak seems to be a PR form of a Chinese finger trap attached to a Rubic's Cube. I won't even get into some of the rampant fan-boy speculation I have read.

To save you some time, this is the main thing:

Depending on how things turn out as well, I might have something for you next week (I'll get back to you on that; things are still up in the air), but regardless, January is going to be month for information for 'Age of Conan' and the joy is in not knowing what will be revealed, and this is how things ought to be. Avoiding the guess-work may also allow to enjoy information given to you; you may avoid disappointment that way.

Sure, if you wanted to save yourself some time, you could jump right to the conclusory paragraph; it's purpose is to summarise what has been said prior anyway.
