2 systems, most being the same, one is for overclock, the other is not, the overclock one will save you 100+ usd

if you don't want to overclock change these, and you can do with the stock intel cooler if you want, it is enough so you don't buy a heatsink for it, should save you some. well

    cpu: p4 2.8 c (not presscott)          around 180

mainboard: abit ic7 max III / asus p4c800  around 180

ram: geil platinum pc 4000 500 mhz ram    265

If you can overclock here you go,

    Amd athlon 2400+ xp mobile 35w                                   87

DFI Lanparty Ultra II Rev.b  or  Abit AN7   (choose one)                 120

    OCZ enchanced latency(aka. EL) pc3200  512mb x2 cl2 ram             241

seagate 80/120 gb sata hd                                    75

radeon 9800 pro 128 mb 256 bit (sapphire is a good brand)    198

Case: (matter of choice really, get a psuless one tho, i'll add psu below, its better for your computer's health) this is relatively a good one, other colors available too, but i dig purple, but since it's your system, you cans earch for the name in the searchbox, only downside is tha tit doesn't have a window

    http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-127-032&depa=1   30

    http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-147-003&depa=1    38

(this has a window and light already installed, good looking, has a psu, but a very crappy one, use it for hobby projects :)

a one which is rather empty, you can mopd it as you like, and its higher quality than others

Power supply: (i rather recommend this one, but if you don't want to spend this much and figure the hell with it, i 'll have alternatives) this has its cables sleeved, which saves you form a heck lot of cable clutter, personally i have to sleeve mine bymyself which is an absolute mess and not a easy thing to do.

    CPU COOLER:

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=35-118-109&depa=1 40 (rather silent and one piece, although unlikely if the fan dies you don't hav emuch to do

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=35-183-109&depa=1 45 (2 fans, silent, but very heavy, need to check if it fits your board.

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=35-109-114&depa=1 40 but you can find it cheaper elsewhere, you need to buy a 92 mm fan on this, this is just the heatsink, i highly recommend it.

Shit i'm bad... I self educated myself in ways of controlling feelings, now nothing feels like it's true... gotta be an assasin or sumtin.

Make your own, you'll save a lot more money
newegg.com has great prices on PC parts

I am with the guy above me.... make yor own... but I advise using pricewatch.com ... same idea though.... ow and I advise buying the nvidia 6800 gt it is a bit slower but I doubt you would even see dif when compared with radeon x800. Nvidia gt series comes with expansion for pixel shader 3.0. right now both cards using 2.0. so nvidia upgradeable while radeon isnt... so... the only set back is that if you want to ovver clock it you need a 480 WATT POWER SUPPLY!!!! that is huge.... lol yea...

Lol, out of sheer boredom I was tinkering with the custom built alienware PC thing (where u can make your own pc..duh) fun seeing how high you can get the price based on things you want, mine was over 13k and the power supply was like 620 or 650 watt...

    Huge electricity bill anyone? ::::28::
