If they're really building a game here and are as far along as they say.. why don't they make a video like this??

If they did something like this it would instantly give them lots of credibility and dispell all the vaporware tags... But they never do. So it makes them look even worse. It's such a simple thing to do. (if you're able to do it that is)

Aventurine is known for their PR..or lack of PR. They just want to be left alone so they can make the game.
The DF community have cries everyday for more videos. And the developers tell us to shut up. The founders (?) dont want any leaked footage from the development or something. Usually we got two small videos every year......thats it : (
did they say that? or that just a guess by the fans?
I can't belive that's true. I mean it's not like they are making some kind of revolutionary product that no one can watch in a video. They are making a sandbox PvP game.
Then they shouldn't have a website and forums up. Or display their game publically in any way...
this game has been in so called "development" so long its fallen into total obscurity on where it stands on how complete it is. i for one love the torrentual flamefests that go on whether the company is coming out this year or the next. if it hasn't come out yet its hardly coming out anytime soon let alone ever. if it does it will have to much hype surrounded by it, that it will flop or will not be what it was assumed it would be. i have yet to see anything that will make it the next best thing since sliced bread.
least we recall good old brad mcquaid on his craptacular fiasco with Vanguard "saga of unfinished betas" hype was surrounded by it brighter than the halo around an newly born angels head. brad praising it will have this, that, and other wonderful things that will cure cancer, war, hunger, and institute world peace lol. only to find out the hard way it was a phenomonal flop. will darkfall take the throne that Canguard currently holds? well with the way its going we wont probably for 1,2, 3, or whatever years it will take for this slow simmering game to come out of its cocoon and show itself to the world.
i apologize for the cregulous attitude, but ive and many others have had smoke blown up our asses so many times by dev's its dumbfounding, so im sorry if i dont find darkfall a minute bit engaging. Im a firm believer " ill believe it when i see it"

I think that is the reason they dont want anything to mess up the development. SOE for example can mess up a MMO or two by destroying them after release or release another 18 months to early.

I wish they were actually building this game, but I lost faith long ago. I don't buy the "they don't care about PR!" line.
The only people who think it's vaporware are fanbois of another game that feel threatened, if any intelligent person considers the facts such as;
Hacker sued for stealing game (He would of got a conviction if there was no game?)

umm actully its not that they dont care if they didnt they wouldnt be giving dev journals

even the the journals arent bad persay they just dont give enough details plenty of screenshots tho
So the only real problem for people is that DF have not released enough videos?
I mean, we have two developer updates every month. we get around four screenshots every month. They just had Asp visiting them in greece.
We have one official DF trailer. Tasos is visiting the DF forum from time to time.
But the biggest problem maybe is that they want to have the game ready for the players before making PR and hyping it up. That would be very different from most other MMO developers.
Players whinw when hames is to early relesed, and they whine when it takes to long time. I count from 2003 when they moved to Greece and made the new engine.

LOL, great point, it seems the trolls are the ones having a problem accepting the fact there might not be a Darkfall. How else do you explain that they constantly create new alt accounts that seem to only have one purpose in mind, to thrash DF.
I enjoy reading about it and hope it one day gets released. Not like I'm holding my breath in the meantime and I'll certainly be trying out all the new games that get released this year.
