EVE is pretty complex and i appreciate that.
But im doing thr free 14 day trial and i have no clue whats going on.
I figured out how do get jobs and i know how to travel now. I bought a new ship, but i can seem to transefer my upgrades or weapons to it.
Anyways im pretty clueless b/c im all alone and im not sure how skills work (im a scientist), and right now i have no idea of what i should be doing. All i keep doing are jobs (by my lonely self), and i know this game offers alot more.

You're right, it does. Explaining here is too difficult however, what you need to do right away is find a corporation and join it. Do not just join any corporation however, look for corporations that don't make you do things and would let you do whatever you want. I'm personally in a freelancing corporation called Freelancer Union which I would reccommend you check out, but join whatever fits you. Get on the recruitment channel to find corporations that are recruiting alternatively check out the corporations forum here on mmorpg.com in the EVE section. Whatever you do, talk to the CEO or Human Resource Manager(s)/Recruiter(s) in the corporation you're interested in and find out if they want you to work for the corporation or if you're free to do as you wish, and as mentioned, try to refrain from joining corporations that make you work for them, that's definitely something you want to avoid for the two weeks you have. Also make sure that the corporation you join isn't tiny, in other words aim for around 20-30 member corporations minimum, don't aim too high either though or they are unlikely to have time for you and are much more likely to try to get you to slave mine for them. Once you get into a corporation say hi, be polite, and eventually you can feel free to ask them all the questions you have, and any good corporation would give you swift and accurate results, right there in game. If you don't want to join a corporation for some reason or are having trouble doing so for some reason, get on to the help channel and ask questions there, you can always find someone that knows the answer to your basic game mechanics questions there. I'd help you myself but I'm out of the country and won't be able to get online for another few days. If you need any more specific help however and can't find it ingame then feel free to contact me at my email address,

Anyway, good luck and have fun!

thanks for the help. Are there any guides? Cause while i may be able to join a corp i dont know how do use my skills or created a character based on what i want. And i dont want to be useless.
Does the retail version come with a good manual?
Oh and i bought a frigate ship, not sure what they do since its cargo and armor are low.
If you want PvP, the good news is that frigates are all-important in PvP. Bigger is not better. You might want to look for the Electronic Warfare skills to equip webifiers and warp scramblers and learning how to use those well should be pretty fun - try it with a friend.
Also, check out some good site on the ships data in a format that you can use for comparisons, like www.eve.se. If you want to get some cash to build up in the beginning, the level 1 missions should be the way to go. Doing a number of both courier and kill missions should help you get a good grip on fitting your frig for both speed and cargo, and for combat.
Don't worry about moving to cruisers. While frigs may feel squishy at times, they are actually better for a number of things than cruisers - just don't expect to be an uber miner in one
On the Eve-Online website is a new players guide. I believe it is under the features tab on the left side.

14 days will only allow you to scratch the surface of this very very vey complex game.
I've been playing non-stop since beta, and can honestly say it's by a wide margin the most complex peice of game I've ever player, let alone heard of.
The reason for the limit of X days is because of the potential for abuse. Some people will take advantage of trial accounts in a way that was not intended and to limit that abuse I think it's fair that the developers and publishers try to protect the paying customers in some way.
I recomend all new players hook up with a veteran player or group of players. Beware of scammers though. Many will intice new players to join their corporation, offering gifts, ships, cash, etc. to join.
Some of them are honest about it, some are not. Many only seek to bolster their ranks and gain more mining slaves (new players that mine all day for peety cash).
I am the CEO of Mercenary Forces (ticker .MF. ) and we're pretty much a PvP-based corporation. We dont mine as such, instead we get our cash "elsewhere"
My corporation is not the ideal place for a new player to start out, but I'd like to think it's a pretty good place to learn the trade once you have made your first 5 million and can afford to loose the ships you fly. Many corporations have exellent "starter programs" and you should ask around a bit before comitting to one as odds are you'll stick with your choice for some time, and that choice will make or break EVE for you.
If you get disillutioned or start having second thoughts about your corporation, you should not prolong the pain, just part company, and look for a new home - your corporation should grow with you, offer you new things to take part in, if it does not it is doing something wrong or just not fitting your stle of play.
Anyone is free to contact me (character: Schani Kratnorr) ingame and I'll reply when I get a chance (being CEO of a slightly unpopular corporation means having lots of "fanmail")
