classes and crafting

I’m not really a fan of cute rpgs but this game has a good concept. You if you choose can be a plate wearing wizard for instance. There is this job system and you can sub jobs and get skills from various other classes. So you could be a healing tank if you choose to. And theres this class called mercenary who are fairly much brickwalls and you can use a swordsman abilities to do higher damage. There is a lot of combinations out there. It, however has a nasty item shop attached to it where I see people selling pets for 200k which is equivalent to a couple days of aoe item farming.

The crafting system is pretty much this: You go afk over night and get the raw materials in various collection zones and there’s this alchemy system which lets you make items. For example you buy incense and burn it in a temple over night to get these crystals and you then take these to the refiner and you can make junior vitamin pills out of the red powder. It is a kind of a pain going around looking for all the recipes in various places which are in pots you have to click on. And as far as I know there’s no way to raise your collection skills past level 1. But it’s a good way to make extra money if you leave your computer on overnight having your character collecting resources.

This isn't a signature, you just think it is.

The 200k pet you see is the love egg, which will evolve into a beautiful nymph, so naturally she's THE most valued pet in game.  All other pets are worth only 10-20k.  So far, there isn't any uber item in game, which may be good or bad depending on your perspective.

Yea, flexibility in class combination is great, giving DOMO a semi-sandbox feel.  Crafting (alchemy) on the other hand can be time consuming.  Item collection is the part I dislike; I just don't see the point of wasting 10 min. of real life collecting those lumbers, to refine into a single piece of wood.  Why can't Softstar make collection time shorter is beyond me.

Overall, DOMO plays a little like GuildWars on a persistent world.  I'm no fan of anime either, but DOMO's animation is so smooth that makes me forget I'm playing a cartoony game.  If all promised pvp and pve features are implemented in a "timely" manner, it'll be the best f2p out there.  But that's a big "if", though.
