Goddamn Mires. Haven't logged back into the game for 2 days. Screw Mires.
How can you release a game with an entire zone that is BROKEN?!? The zone DOES NOT WORK. It is inhuman.

Maybe when you into MMO's like this make sure you first read what's going on with the game before making a topic about a very well known issue, just to be clear NOT ALL OF MIRES IS BROKEN !!! and yes i would like to see fixes, but then again it's populair to make unconstructive post on this website without any thought.
Mires Performance Issues
The Mires performance issues should be resolved with the next update (1.4). In the last few updates we included a number of large technology improvements for Mires; however, its performance is still not in line with our desired numbers. For example, the creature count on Mires is only slightly higher than desired, but due to the large scale, warzone-like design of the map, there were four times as many creatures in combat as any other map. Mires also contains many locations where both friendly and enemy drop ships were appearing literally within meters of each other. To guarantee that the performance of Mires is on par with other maps for the next update, we’ve made some changes to the design of Mires that greatly improves the performance without making the map significantly different. http://www.playtr.com/community/community_news/feedback_friday_1042008.html
Whatever you say this is unaccaptable for an MMO with monthly sub and is something thats should be said even more so that other ppl can know that problem is not their PC or ISP but a broken game.
You can't get rid of trolls by using facts or any type of logic, I will be very interested to see how the patch will change things. In regard to trolls the only thing that can be done is to ignore them, they feed on any response and are more tenacious than Roaches.

Down the line, like me you'll have to figure out a way to make up the XP lost. I went to the Plateau after i got logos from Mires and did fine.

Heh, sorry for the negativity guys. I forgot when I logged out my character was still in Mires. Now I have to GET OUT of mires. I just quit on the spot.
I'm sorry, but this really just annoys me. There's no excuse for this, and "We'll fix it eventually" is complete nonsense. It should have never made it out of beta with this problem. Period, the end.

I think my guy was lvl 25 when I first landed on Mires to start missions, and I literally quit on the spot like an above poster. The 3 second weapon delay, buggy animations and overal craptastic qualities of the Mires sent TR to Cancelville. Not even the excitement of hitting lvl 30 in 5 levels was enough for me to put up with this zone.
A bunch of buddies were harping at me to start EQ2 again, well, Mires made that decision very easy. WTG NCSoft, have a good time launching Garriout into outer space. Dumbasses.
I agree with the OP, releasing the game with an entire zone broken is unnacceptable and him complaining about it here does not make him a troll.
These self-righteous fanbois should just keep quiet instead of trying to throw troll accusations at everyone who reports their frustration at the game.
It doesn't matter that the dev's have already acknowledged the problem, its still broken two months after release and they deserve some grief for it. Besides, how do you know that 1.4 will actually fix it?
I'm glad to read posts like this, keeps me from buying the game until I start hearing better news about it.

Excellent point, and yes i do agree with you. As far as i know the Mires is broken, and it seems to be on every server. Im on Pegasus and Mires is horrible. The only thing i recommend is to get the logos from there which really isnt to hard, and then move on.Down the line, like me you'll have to figure out a way to make up the XP lost. I went to the Plateau after i got logos from Mires and did fine.
There's usually a boss near this logos i need for my last sniper skill and he likes interrupting me getting the logos. Trying to kill it is laughable as it regens armor between my once per 10 sec shots.
So i wait for the patch.

I was quite lucky as i only hit Mires when i was around level 27/28 so i had the option to do Mires or Incline... i have struggled with Mires but i was lucky enough to have accrued enough XP from earlier zones to ease the pain (i still have questst that need finishing).
I think i learnt from the Beta, "hit a CP for about 15 minutes if you can when you log back in for a nice XP boost" and then go back and do your missions.
Helped me out loads as i am now level 34 and just about to leave Valverde Plateau.
Was in mires last yesterday. Zero lag for me and others there.
Since it was a server side issue, i don't believe they needed to optimize through a patch. So go check it out.
Unless it was one of those lucky days of no lag...

Right after a server reboot the zone is pretty good actually... This is due to the lack of 'problem' mobs though.
The game was released 6 months early. We told them in Beta that they needed to do more work on fixing the problems rather than polishing Wilderness and Divide. Did they listen? Noooooooooooo

What server are you on? Maybe we could arrange a time where i could actually help you out, im a Sniper also, and i actually was succesful in Mires despite all the bad lag. Like all of you i nearly quiet when i reached the Mires and i was completely discusted in the game for allowing this problem to go unfixed.
After doing some research, and reading alot of forums about the Mires i found out that the Mires are the only one thats broken. So that really kept me going in the game, im glad, because after the Mires the game is still fun.
One poster said that the OP should not be viewed as a troll because he's posting a legitimate concern, and gripe. I agree, i definately didnt see his post as trolling.
OP again im on Pegasus man, and one character i play is named Volkswagon, if you need a hand getting those Logos i'll gladly take some time out to help you get them all, being im a sniper and once needed those same ones.

I wasnt quitting because mires was laggy. I was quitting because i had finished incline and mires was laggy AND plateau was just as laggy. Didn't know it was just a matter or rebooting the server.

Mires itself is broken - but alot of the quests from Palisades on up are bugged beyond belief - the game has or heh had potential but i know alot of people who left their old MMO's to go to TR have gone back simply because the bugs make the game unenjoyable - and most of the bugs revolve around quests that cant be completed because they are bugged - which half the quests I did in Palisades were like that - as well as Mires
Saying half the quests in palissade are broken is a big generalisation. I got 4-6 bugged one from 1-30, that's hardl half the missions. That includes instance mish and i finished childhood's end without any problem where others claim it's bugged.

Most of your quests that lead into other quests is bugged -and Childhoods end is somewhat bugged honestly - I had to kill the elite for that quest multiple times in order to get the drop from him - either way there really shouldnt be this many quests that are bugged anyways at this stage in the game.
Hrmmm i'd say saying that half of the quest are bugged in the Palisades is a bit of an exageration. then again your the one who's doing the quest. From lvl's 1 - 33 i've had probably only 3 quest that have been buged.
