Heh not even 1¢ here. See, I'd rather be payed to play this game instead of paying to play it. And I mean being payed for 30$ a month is the minimum.

I'm stating my opinion, not telling people not to play it. I didn't even told why I don't like it, thus not trolling anything.

Harsh, I sorta like this game because they endevoured to do something different, straying from dwarves, elves, orcs and pixies, I still long for a great ranged modern combat MMO, and Stargate Worlds is a year off, I just don't know what to play anymore.

nothing wrong with trying something different just make sure you make something different be good.it is a decent game for the first 2 days.just very repetitive.great fun when your doing the naval combat....but the rest of the game is rather shallow.i am pulling for them though maybe it will be good in a year or so...but by then the mmo heavyweights will be out.

I was acctually pretty intrested in this game, however, any game that has a monthly subscriptionfee should be ignored.

Beta tested, pre-ordered and will gladly pay the asking  price as it's well worth it imo.

I bet the price comes down drastically within 6 months.

stopped playing the beta because i just didnt enjoy the time i spent in-game, so for me its definately not worth $14.99 a month...
if others do enjoy the game i`d say have fun with it.

the only problem with rates this high is that there are so many other games at the market at the moment, that you have plenty of other games to choose from, wich are in some cases even free...

allthough i`d have to admit that there arent many good other games in this genre, i would recomend voyage century for those who really love the pirate setting, but just if your not willing to pay 15 bucks a month for a game like this.

I'd take that bet in a heartbeat. There's not a snowballs chance of the monthly fee dropping at all from what is advertised in the first post of this thread.

Like the poster above me...I will take this bet for any amount of money.

Anyway people pay $14.99/month for far less innovative, far less interesting products. It's a pretty reasonable price.

Aye, its good to see new innovative MMO's on the market. But the gameplay turned out to be a korean grindfest with little difference between the missions.

    Play EVE, thats different.

You're on the wrong board then. Pretty much every MMORPG game has a fee unless they are old and tired or shitty and then let you play them for free with some sort of catches.

I dont mind if it has like a one time cost like Guild Wars etc, but an expensive monthly subscriptionfee is overkill. =/

Although I did not like PotBS I have to laugh at your statement about expensive monthly fees.

Your either a kid who has to ask his/her parents for the money for the game and then a monthly fee or a cheapskate.

Do you realize that a two hour movie will cost you 8.00 for one person (lets say you take a girlfriend, assuming your a guy) so that is 16.00 for ONE 2 hour movie.

14.99 a month for any mmo comes out to about 50 cents a day for pretty much 24/7 access to the servers (yes I know they are down from time to time for maintenance and updates)

MMO's pricing is by far the best bang for your buck entertainment around.

I intend on trying PotBS out. It's something new and different from all the other copycat MMOs out there at the moment.

I really enjoy this game and am glad it will be part of my Station Access Subscription.

I'm still partly perturbed that G&H:RR was cut from Station Access... but happy that PotBS made the mix.  I haven't had this much fun in a MMO since... well, I won't mention that, because it went sour rather quickly.

Same here, I think paying for an online game is a ripoff.

With huge AAA titles like LOTRO setting the bar at $10 per month, I'm wondering how this game can justify $15?  Seems kinda pricey to me.  I'd probably jump on if they had some kind of 'founders' deal like LOTRO did - I've heard rumors that other major upcoming releases are going to be following a similar model  - but at $15 a month it's just not as appealing, especially with the reviews it's been getting.
