I was wondering if they said anything about natural resources such as mines and tar pits ect... it seems stupid if they did not have them since it such a huge part in war. That is why the nazi's pushed their way east through russia so they could hit the oil pits of east russia. I think it would be a good feature if they made this in to part of the game. as it would be a huge tactiful advantage if lets say the goblins had control of all the iron mines in the kingdom. this would not only hault crafting which would be motive enough to take it back but would be able to put bonuses to the goblins for having these.
Just wondering if anyone knows if this is will be in game and if they think it should.

What does Russia and Nazis have to do with Warhammer online?
I'm kinda confused on what your asking for here, please enlighten me as to what your talking about "sounds interesting".
what i am saying is that in war some of the main battles and objectives are over controlling resources like mines or oil because these are what fuel a war. I only used the nazi/russia conflict as an example. i just want to no if we get to in WAR get to fight to control mines and other resources.
They've not elaborated on the crafting system at all other than there will be some sort of crafting and it'll be 'awsome' so thus your question on Resources is an unknown.
Any game with crafting will have resources it just makes sense When we hear about the crafting system we'll learn about the resource system. I doubt though we'll be fighting over resource areas since we can go into enemy territory anytime we want so we'd still have access to resources in that area ... Most of whats going into PVP as far as what we're fighting over has already been announced. You really should check out the Podcasts on their official website.

I am really hoping that they have no traditional crafting at all, as I hate crafting, with a passion. I would prefer a system where NPCs do all of the crafting, and you merely provide the materials. But they would not be materials you gathered the traditional way, but rather things you pick off corpses in RvR and such. More of a tribute system, really. You give them trophies of war, they give you gear.
At any rate, I am right with you on having no herbalism/mining/skinning. This is Warhammer Online, not Farmer Online. We are warriors, not common workers.
And yes, I realize some people enjoy crafting and such. Well, some people also enjoy putting clothespins on their nipples while listening to Barbara Streisand. :P
