Neocron: Our BDoY Beta Giveaway!

MMORPG.com is proud to present our latest exclusive contest!  On August 1, 2004 we will be giving away a total of 20 beta accounts for Neocron - Beyond Dome of York!  As a special twist, we will continue the contest for another 15 days - then we will select 5 more winners to receive a full retail copy of Beyond Dome of York which will be sent to winners when the game hits retail shelves!

We have also split this into 2 contests - one for European members and one for all other countries.  There will be 5 betas for Europe and 15 for the rest of the world.  The 5 retail copies will be selected from BOTH contests.

OVERVIEW:

  • 2 contests - one for EU (5 prizes) and one for the rest of the world (15 prizes)
  • 2 phases - first phase will be drawn on August 1 and we will give out a total of 20 beta accounts.  The second phase will be drawn on August 15 where we will give out 5 retail copies of the game
  • You MUST be 18 years or older to enter.  Neocron is rated "M" for mature audiences only.
  • Beta CD's will actually be mailed - so please don't bother trying to enter a contest outside of your geographical region.

    Just watch.. It will be posted any time now..

    and then we respond

    "there are more people who goto MMORPG.com that live in NA than Europe"


    and then we get into some political, reigous, WoW VS EQ2 dabate, or perhaps a argument about the specifics of "racism"

    Other than that, this is gona be pretty cool, perhaps the expansion can breath life back into Neocron, it had potential... but thats about as far as it got.

    LOL - Ya you are probably right.  Even though both EU and NA have an entire rainbow of racial diversity.  Truth is that EU people will have much better odds than the NA contest...because the NA contest also includes Australia, Africa, S. America and all Asian countries.  So only about 10% of our members can enter the EU contest - which boasts 25% of the prizes image

    Do the winners need to have active Neocron subscriptions to participate in the BDoY beta? I tried signing up for Jump to Lightspeed, but I needed an active SWG account.

    No, BDOY will actually be a stand alone game - however players of Neocron will be able to port over their characters.

    All 4 Chars to be transfered, like on saturn server?
    Loss of XP on those chars?
    Loss of items on those chars?

    And, what will happen to certain appartements a char has,
    does that appy and its location stay the same on BDOY server then?

    I'm really happy for I'm in the European 5, but what to do next?
    Where/how can the winners get the client and start to play?

    For the EU winners - Reakktor is mailing CDs to you.  I think they are already in the mail.  US winners are going to get a link to download it.

    ...will there be some kind of trial version to download and install for free ?

    would be interessting to see neocron2 and its hardware requirements before
    transfering 8 chars ...

    Hey guys why don't you simply check out the neocron.com Forum. Everyone can read the details of the release there. Like yes there will be a testaccount, yes there will be no item/cash wipe, yes u can port your chars to NC2 DOY ::::02::
    Also there will be some changes of Charnames.
    And yes NC users get a special offer to get DOY for a cheaper price.
    Go there and read.... evereything is discussed there, like the new logo and so on.
    Give this game a try, it needs more players ::::39::
    Im looking forward to the realease, i'm playing since beta ^__^
