What is the most fun melee class?

I wanted to play a character that does a lot of dps and can take damage. But doesnt get boring.
Is Champion fun to play?
What would any vets recommend?

i had a high lvl champion....its by far the funniest melee class....either 2h or dual weild champs can push out massive dps..they can also tank if needed but i would recommend carrying a sheild just in case you need to tank elites
Alright thank you. Anyone able to recommend a server to start a champion on?
i can give ya good advice for pickin a server for any mmo...first you have to decide what you are lookin for in a server....like you want alot of people,newer server, less people ect...best thing i can tell ya is firgure out what you want in a server then browse the forums and check # of post and see if people are complining for lack of groups....stuff like that...best way to find a server just for you
Brandywine arguable has the largest population. Elendilmir, Landroval, and Silverlode have good sized populations too. If the message on the launcher says anything about a server recommendation for new players, those servers have the lowest populations.

Champs are a good choice, but Guardians usually have an easier time finding groups, mostly because there are fewer of them.

I believe most people play champions for melee fun

Champion kills the fastest, but burglar is most fun.
That was my original intent.
Burglers dont suck at all. They are no powerhouse, but if played well and with alittle guile, you can easlily solo elite monsters one and two levels above your own level (atleast up to lvl 42 - where my hobbit burgler stopped
)
Now, there might be people coming in here and yelling "they got nerfed, nerfed, nerfed!"....maybe, but it doesnt change the fact that these guys are immensly fun to play...
btw its month of the burglur in book 12 too. Ive never played one myself because it doesnt fit my play style.
Champions are a lot of fun to play, have lots of DPS, but little defensive skills. They can kill mobs quick, but take a lot of damage doing it.
Guardians have average offense, but great defense. They are the "tanks". But, it takes time to kill a mob solo due to the much lower DPS.
I play both classes, up to level 30 so far. Guardians can be fun. You can stun alot, you have a self-heal, so you do not take as much damage or need as much healing after a fight. With my champion, I find I buy a lot of food to raise stats and give me heals over time to reduce down time. With my guardian, I rarely need food.
I recently started a burglar. They remind me in some ways of a guardian. They can be fun, have some fun skills (stealth is awesome!), but they do not have the high DPS of the Champions so killing a mob takes time.
And in PvE MMO's, time means other mobs can respawn or wander into range and you get an add during combat.
It is really up to individual play styles as to which one is the most fun.

Guardian is 'ok', but the Taunt skills really need to be beefed up.
The main issue I have with Champion and a lot of the other skills in all classes is that there are very few 'Instant' cast skills. Especially melee ones. So you have to stop to use them. Tricky when the target is moving. Minstrel has some good Instants that can be used on the run.
Still, the DPS and speed and Dual Wield of the Champion are really fun. And they can tank a bit too once they get Heavy Armor. My Champion has very close to the same Morale as my Guardian. And he does carry a Shield just for those 'special occasions' where he has to tank a bit.
I play Champion.
After playing every other class to around level 30. I choose champion.
One of my good friends on there has every class level 50. He chooses champion.
It's the only class i can will myself to play. Hehe

If you like unloading direct damage - its a champion.
If you want versality, lots of cool features and stealth - burglar.
Burg is much more fun for me to play and this clas is far more powerful in PvMP
i got to go with everyone else and say champion, my champion is only lvl 22 but they are very fun to play and can kill multiple enemys quickly. I would not suggest tanking but if you have to you can.
