For the Dark Templar, their specialty Feat trees are called Depravity and Desecration. Two Feats I saw that excited me the most were an AE stun (critical for tank classes) and a new combo that resulted in the Dark Templar raising a combat pet from the blood of his enemies. |

Rad, I think this leans me even further to DT instead of the barbarian hehe. Thanks for the post
Im wondering about the bit where it says "raising a combat pet"
Ah well its Friday Update soon, maybe there might be something there.
Neat.
I just had this fantastic idea. I'm going to play a Barberian. You ofcourse will play your Dark Templar and perhaps we'll fight together. If we do this is what I invision. I will wade into the throng of enemies and begin to mangle and cut them down. As I hack off their limbs and heads with ether my 2handed sword or dual wielding (I have not decided yet) you can use the massive ammounts of spilled blood to summon all the combat pets you want. All I ask is that if you want to live, stay out of my reach.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
The more I see the combat for this game the more I lose interest. I was so excited for this game when they released info about it, but the combat looks off.
Actually the combat is one of the main things that I'm excited about, I don't want TCOS mach 5 unrealistic combat type.
By the way Avery aren't you in Oslo now?
Nope I fly out next Wednesday/Thursday till Sunday
But the Combat is a big turn on for me too.
I don't like how they are just sitting there hitting each other w/o and animations for getting hit. That makes the "realistic" combat look very "unrealistic"
You have to get up close to them in melee to hit them. This puts the onus on the player in this style to "Get Stuck In".
In that video there:
1. Its not finished version
2. There are points where the distance between the two people is longer than either of their weapons
These small issues are constantly being worked upon. Lets judge the finished version and also remember there are 72 days left till it releases !
Heh, as a programmer, 72 days = omg its tomorrow!
I remember getting the task of writing a brand new tax software program in july of a year, and have it due (and shipped/received) by Jan 1st.
That's almost 180 days! I nearly had a heart attack. No time to do proper analysis, no time to do a proper beta, no time to test even the installation program on more than a couple of office machines. Nearly killed 2 of us (3 programmers at that point). No time to call in sick, so one guy comes back from having pneumonia early... and gets me sick in the middle of december. I was out of action for 2 weeks. LOL...
Fortunately, I'm a pretty good designer on the fly, and the thing worked. Thank god . Messing up people's tax bills/payments is not a pretty thing.
