TTH is doing some good work, and with more CES to go, I'm sure we'll see lots more.  I heard TTH will see a gameplay video from TTH soon.

I'm still considering to join or not. The guild does seem very well organised and with a clear vision and fun ideas, particularly like the jousting contests (maybe this could be do inter-guild and guild-guild).

Some things do concern me about the guild presentation though i have to say. We all know that the conan world is rather dark and bloody, and skulls are littered everywhere although not all of the places are like that but (as their name suggests) the guild seems to be into the blood this and blood that with skull and cross bones decorating the site. I am not trying to be critical at all here as its up to anyone how they run and present their guild im trying to find out if it maintains a mature attitude, one that would suit me and my mmo friends.

It seems their is no place for neutality of role, however I think there is a great place in the game for that. not only conquest (everyone almost says the same on their guild sites) but also to diplomacy with other guilds.

This being said one the main things that interested me with this guild was the fact that most of the members (the ones i saw) were mature adults and also hardcore/serious gamers that will be getting involved. I just hope the overal mentaity of the guild holds and reflects the members therein and is not just a facination with blood and guts.

Again i will say that i am not trying to be negatively critical i merely seeking a decend guild to take active part in and one that my good natured friends would also feel at home in. It does seem that most guilds out there are into the destory mame kill instead of presenting a more appealing neutrality.

I am a newer member myself Vala, but I’ll try my best to answer your question from my point of view.

Yes, our guild does play on the “dark” theme which is natural in the AOC world but by no means are we obsessed with gore.  Our guild is made up of all ages and gaming types and we try to cater to every person which is why we have three groups within the guild: one is a general group for the casual player, one is for the somewhat hardcore PvE, and the last is for the somewhat hardcore PvP.  Now just because we have these three groups, that does not mean the players separate themselves.  Each member is expected to work with the other groups and all three groups must be a part of our “no member left behind” policy.  Also, when I say hardcore, I do not mean these members view themselves as leet noob gankers.  The members in these groups basically put more effort in their area and also plan events and strategies for what they specialize in.

I also want to say that the members of this guild are top notch.  Before joining, each member has to go through an interview process in Vent.  Our leaders are great at picking which new members will best fit the guild which makes for a great group of guys and gals.  Plus, our leaders are some of the best I have seen in a guild.  They are all very mature and run the guild with extreme efficiency.   So, for the short answer, no…..our guild is not a bunch of kids looking to chop off as many heads as we can, but we will be chopping off a lot.  Lol

I hope this helps and I’m sure one of the leaders will reply with more info.  Thanks for looking at our guild!

    Hi Vala!

Thank you for checking us out. I would like to address a few concerns you have.

The theme is indeed a more "dark" theme but do not let this sway you into thinking some "leet kiddie" who thinks "gutz" are "the shizzle" is the reason for this. If you have not, please read our Lore. The web page is the vision of our Guildleader and more centered around  the Lore he has wrote for his character.

We are mostly all adults and we have a very mature community. (We do have our fun though) I can honestly say that in my over 10 years of gaming I have never stepped into a better guild than Sanguiphoria.

There is a place for all roles within Sanguiphoria. We have a RP division, if you are into that sort of thing, and encourage you to be yourself. We would never tell you how to play nor do we pigeon hole you into making a choice on class/race, good/evil.  We want you to have fun- not run your life. :)

I believe you would easily see who & what we are all about  if you register and begin to communicate with our members.

Thank you for expressing your concerns and if you have any questions feel frre to send me a PM.

Well thank you for the response and it was informative. I knew that the guild was not organised by a bunch of guts-gory kids for sure because the whole thing, from organisation to delivery seem to be quite proffessional indeed. I was more concerned (as you have both commented on) the 'darker take' of the conan world. I have read all of the lore on the website, also most of the forum posts and other material.

The Lore mentions the exploits of Kabres who becomes a necromancer among other interesting writings but to consider this and the mention of a city of the dead Nexmoenia (Which is based on Xuthal?) one can assume the more dark theme to the guild.

As for me I have been a GM for a raiding guild in wow but i have also really got heavy into the PVP side of the game and hit the grandmarshal (when it really meant something) but due to life commitments I wont be getting so involved in this game so I will participate more on a causual bases and more importantly a roleplay bases. (I really would like to see inter-political situations develop between warring guilds and the status of emissaries as something important)

The type of barbarian I will be playing will be heavyily steeped in viking mythos and I am therefore determing wheather that would 'fit' with the theme of your guild. The reason why i am writing all of this and asking questions is because you do seem like a very good guild but the moment i see naked orgies with ritual sacrifices to Set i will be sharpening my blade:),

Sanguiphoria is still looking for quality members, come by and check us out and see if we would be a good fit for you. We are looking for PvP minded people, but also looking for crafters, light roleplayers, Raiders and everything in between. We are going to a RPvP FFA server, so bring your killing spirit with you! Recruitment is going to slow down and get tougher soon, so take advantage of the opportunity to be a part of what we feel is ONE of the best pre-launch guilds for AoC.

Thank you for your interest Vala! Even the thought of you considering us is a start:) If you feel the need, or want to get to know us more... stop by the forums and pull up a chair! We will always make room for a viking of sorts! Just as long as you wanna swing your big axe at our defense, we will be at yours!

Well Thanks fro coming by to ask us Sanguiphorians some questions my friend!

I must say that I am more then pleased to see regular non-officer Members of our Guild quickly and thoroughly answer your questions.  This goes to prove what kind of Mature and well informed Member base that Sanguiphoria is made of!

As Tribune Officer Sinra and others have Mentioned, you can always come by for a visit or even we may be able to extend some "visiting" priviliges and let you login to our Vent channel to further gage how Proffesional and well "behaved" we are (most of the times).

So once more, on behalf of every Sanguiphorian, we extend our welcoming hands to all and every Member of MMORPG.com

We thrive on Qualiity Members instead of Quantity in every aspect on Guild Recruitment!

    Cheers!

Thank you for the replies and answering my questions. I hope that it has helped others to make a choice to join your guild or not. As for me, well I looked more at your site and then I noticed that your mainly for US people as I am in the UK I thought it wise not to send in an application.

I have continued my search for a good guild and there doesnt seem to be a one that is organised and focused enough for signing up pre-launch. So myself and a few friends decided that we should go ahead and organised a group. Between us all we have a great deal of experience so let see how it develops:)

Thank you once more for your rely.

We have an officer from the UK and a few others from Europe. As long as you can speak english and are willing to play the US version of the game I'm sure it will be fine, time zones might be an issue but who knows.

    Greetings gentlemen,

It seems that I cannot access your forums. Your new forum is under construction and the older one will not accept new registrations.

Please let me know if there are any other ways to check out your community. Thanks.
