Advice:What game should i play?

gok2gok2 Member Posts: 3

hi everyone

sorry if this post is in the wrong section but i need some advice on what game to play

i like playing games like diablo, ultima online, warcraft3:dota

features i like in a game

-being king: make a character that can sometimes beat people in 1v5

-player killing : getting others exp, loots, money etc. and anti player killing who seeks pks and kills them :)

-team playing: i dont like hanging out myself

-raids: raiding other peoples dungeons killing people who are PvE'ing and taking their items :)

-death cost: you lose something when you die and the killer gets it

-strength: the strength of your character is based on your items, level and mostly on your playing skill

-duel: dueling to see who's the strongest

-cost: prefer if its free :)

if anyone played ultima online they would know what i want

action around brit bridge-gate, raiding other peoples champions killing them all and taking all the power scrolls, loots etc..

if anyone knows a mmorpg with these features in it please let me know

thanks for reading this topic..

If you enjoy Diablo, try Hellgate London.

Based on what you have said that game almost matches it.

If you can wait, there are alot of new and upcoming MMO's to be released in the next few months. Why not have a dable in a few of them. Only downside for you is that most if not all are not free-to-play.

The whole pvp part sounds like lineage2.

The free part sounds like Guild Wars.

I can warmly recommend Neverwinter Nights 1 or 2 to you. They both have lots of different kinds of player made realms and they are from Action, story driven to roleplaying servers.

    The game itself:

    - Some player made realms are heavily modded and have huge amount of custom stuff added to make the game feel more real. They even run custom scripts which allow lootable corpses after PvP(and tons of others scripts like new spells etc. made by the server staff)

    - Lots of character classes from pickpocketing thieves to holy paladins (including prestige classes)

    - The game is heavily based on character stats, skills and various magical items and weapons.

    - DMs run quest and story-lines on randomly selected players 24/7 (If the server happens to be popular one)

    - The playerbase is just awesome.

    - Oh, and it's totally free to play online once you obtain the game, so no monthly fees.

    - Both NWNs have a good amount of expansion packs released also and most of them offer a chance to play the campaings in cooperative mode with friends through LAN or Internet.

Neverwinter is not an MMORPG and most of the servers have max capacity of 80-100 players (if I remember correct) but that doesn't make the game worse than any full scale RPG out there.

Yeah, looking at your post L2 sounds like a good match for the PvP type However there are some serious trade offs to L2. It has a brutal grind if you solo through the PvE and its only slightly better grouping. You are not going to get anywhere solo in L2. Everything else is a go but the fee. You need to make a serious commitment to L2 or it will break you early on. Its a great game once you get to about level 60 or so  though.

That NWN referal is an interesting idea. I love both NWN games, can't go wrong with it. I don't know about that F2P game though, it just looks like another watered down L2 clone, I might be wrong, the website doesn't say to much. Its F2P so you get what you pay for.

Guild Wars might also be a possibility although it doesn't really match up with what you want but it doesn't have a monthly  fee and its a decent game.

It sounds that you like PVP, I suggest Lineage II

EVE has many (but not all) of the features you are looking for.

(What you really want is Darkfall, but who knows when/if we'll ever see it)

well eve is kind of like a star wars type of game i'd rather fighting with swords and bows / or lightsabers blasters :P

Guild wars is free and has decent pvp but in lineage2 you basicly can attack anyone that's not in town. If the player has a certain number of evil player kill, there's a chance he'll drop gear. That sounds like what you're looking for. However lineage has a crazy economy. At 52 i think my next weapon was 20-30m and i was nowhere near that. I figure if i ever go back i'd level a scarvenger and sell the mats.

We have a game in Denmark called "Cracker". I haven't played it myself, but I heard it is best played with 3-4 guys.

Maybe you can find some info about it, on google.
