SWG - PrePub9 Jedi mastered all professions - June 26th 2003 > Nov 15th 2005 EVE Online - 24 million SP - May 6th 2003 > Early 2005 PlanetSide - BR20 CR5 - May 23rd 2003 > Sept 2003
The question is, why not continue playing EVE? I guess there must be something you want to change with the game. What?
There are some games that have similar features. For example:
Pirates of the Burning Sea - 18-century pirate theme, but similar in deep economy and non-magic ship combat. I see it as EVE without griefing, PVP is voluntary.
Ryzom (in financial trouble currently) and Ultima Online (or even Roma Victor!)- no spaceships here either, but they offer sandboxy freedom like EVE.
Jumpgate - (the upcoming Jumpgate: Evolution) gives an "Elite"-type gameplay with joystick control.
Plus, some smaller games, like Darkspace and Vendetta Online. Or empire building webgames like Ogame, etc.
Nothing exactly like EVE, but if you were completely happy with the game you wouldn't ask, would you?
EDIT: ok, you posted the second post while I was writing. The problem is limited time, right? MMORPGs and time are deadly enemies, unfortunately.

well to be honest i did not want to change anything on eve online and if i would it would be more pvp into the game and less low sec and empire space.
but i just cant keep playing the amount of hours i was playing on daily basis so i had to leave the game, and first after over 3 years playing the game.
iam just looking for a mmorpg that have the same pvp aspects like in eve but not that demanding on hours.
i guess i have to w8 until elite is out someday around 2013
Then I would suggest Vendetta-Online, I don't play it now, but when I did try it out, it was quite nice and there was PvP (faction based, three factions).
If you want grand, gankin', greifin' fun like EVE, join Shadowbane.

EVE can be played very casually, therefore since you weren't able to, I'd suggest you stay clear of all MMORPG's, because they all have the addictive nature to them that will probably drag you down.

Aight, absolutely nothing. Eve is without competition, sadly.
i know but i was to additced and was doing damage into my RL, so i had to leave before it was to late.
i guess my time in MMORPG is over
You could try other space games, like Vendetta-Online, Jumpgate, Darkspace
