Good ol' Paul but is it just me or has the last couple Paul spots seemed like he is losing gas.

You gotta think why are they soo scared to show off gameplay? It's all just him standing there talking and holding up pictures each time and i mean if this late in development and they can't even show off a proper working version of the game yet then you gotta wonder 1. delayed till 2009 or 2. released half finished.

there hasnt been tons just a few and they all looked horrible and whats with that gay ring of colour around the characters... it's not good. I mean the world looks nice and everything but i do hope the animations are only temp and the character models are too.

There are far more than a few. I would say around 2 dozen or more. I have a youtube collection of 50+ WAR videos and maybe half are gameplay. That's not even all of the gameplay videos out there.
As far as the ring, character models, and animations that's personal taste. The ring (if you mean targetting ring) doesn't bother me and I like the character models. If anything I want to check into its animations and combat smoothness.
I love the graphics in WAR. Then again, I think WoW is beautiful, too, and is probably the best example ever of what good art direction can accomplish despite having low technical requirements.
I am a sucker for strong, distinctive art direction. I love heavily stylized graphics that grant worlds a unique flavour. It is not about technical perfection for me, but rather about how the graphics fit the theme of the game and how expressive they are. Only a fool would call WAR technically impressive - games made in 2003 are on par with it there - but I think it is still visually impressive and reflects what Games Workshop created these past 25 years.
Age of Conan, a game people drool over, is fairly good looking, but I think the world and the characters in it are fairly bland and uninspired. There is not a lot of style, but I suppose they were chasing realism. I still think, all in all, it is boring to look at.
But that is just me, the mileage of others may vary.
Aesthetics are big in my book as well. I want to be drawn into a game in every possible way, visual and lore-wise. The thing that awes me the most each time I look at AoC is distant environment screens. They really are breath-taking. However up close everything seems to lack detail and some textures are just not stunning (Not that WAR hasn't had SS like that either though). I haven't seen too much in-game content screens of characters and armor/weapon variations to really tell if its lacking in the creative department on that end, but what I have seen has not captivated me. WARs careers on a purely aesthetic standpoint totally dominate anything I have seen.
