A quick question about leveling

Just wanting to know, to settle an argument, what is the fastest you can get to level 70? This is playing a schedule of like 5 or 6 hours week days and maybe 30 total hours on the week end.

According to Brian Kopp, he has done L1-70 in 9 days, 13 hours, 14 minutes, which by your playing schedule would work out to just over seven and a half weeks (7.6 Weeks).

It must be Thursday, i never could get the hang of Thursdays.

I'm actually following this guide, for the most part. I am now level 46 and seem to be gaining a level per day with about 3-4 hours of playtime. What I like about the guide is it takes you everywhere. I have not been to some of the zones listed in the guide with my first few toons. It's really a good guide.

Basically do as many quests in a day as possible, and you will level quite quickly.

I think fastest i've heard was like 8 days.. or so.  I've personally never leveled from 1-70. So I couldn't tell you from first hand.

Most of my characters are like around 45-80days.  I think from 60-70 on my like took 6ish days right after BC came out,   But I was also on a low pop and lvled solo.

    Take a look here: www.joanasworld.com/

This site shows some awesome levelling times for Horde (4 days 20 hours /played to lvl 60).  Joana has written some great Horde guides as well.  Well worth it IMO.

Let me see, 5 or 6 hours a day and 15 on Sat and Sun?  I'd say it will take about 2 weeks...to go insane. LOL  Have no clue how long it would take to hit 70 at this pace.  That's a pretty serious gaming schedule.

And I have to caution about these people who say it's possible to go from 1-60 in a week.  It may be possible for them, but it's highly unlikely for the average player.

Tis question comes from an aruement between me and my 11 year old son. He has been playing for about a year and doesn't have a character over 25! I tell him he should be leveling a character when he is playing cheesey flash games and that by now he should have a level 70. He says it takes more than a year to get to 70 and that is why he is still at a lower level. I have taken over his account for me and my wife. The hours per day that I indicated came from what I would probably play if I was single.

Joana's record for leveling to 70 is 4 days and X hours (I forgot) played.  Of course that's straight grinding, questing and instancing your way to 70 is the way to go.

Just a slight correction, Joana's guide is 4 days 20 hours to L60, not 70. Not sure what the time for that guide is to 70, maybe someone could let us know?

Maybe he's really just not interested in the game.  And by trying to argue his point with you he won't feel compelled to play more than he really wants to?  I think the youngest kid I met with a 70 was like 15.  But forget trying to get him to focus on raids..

You make a good point. My son's attention span is that of a gnats and he flips from game to game. In WoW he would mostly play one character after another based on which someone told him was more powerful. Funny thing is that he would play Diablo II for months. The finding of equipment is his favorite thing and Diablo played right into it. He never uses all the equipment, it is as if the acquisition of gear is more important than adventuring. I could probably right a psychology thesis about him.
