For those that cry about lvl'ing I just lvl'ed a Jedi in 16 days over the Holiday, It was very similar to how I lvl'ed with a TK in Pre-CU days.
Read the guides in this fourm and on the SoE fourm and you should lvl fast.

It took me eighteen months to level my jedi fro LS0003 to MLS/MDEF/Heal4XX4. I can't tell you how much fun, excitement and danger it was. Of course, all that's gone now.
LOL And that was CU......It's been so long that I actually forgot what I was grinding on when I unlocked Pre CU....I was just trying to stay hidden on Yavin 4 as long as I could grinding my Padawan on spiders and klik niks...

Me too, those monkey-spiders really creeped me out. I could hardly bear to target them. I used to grind close to the starport - can't remember which one but it was usually abslutely deserted - and the moment I saw someone fly in, I got on my bike and headed out to the mountains because I knew it would be a Bounty Hunter. You can't buy that kind of excitement. Well, not any more anyway.
Lol I hated those spider things to. I always thought they looked like Spiders with skeleton heads lol.
I'm selling these fine leather jackets.
I left this game cose of that, it's just leveling.

It took SOOO long to grind Jedi in the pre-cu (pre-9 especially). It took me 3 weeks to get the padawan box at the end of the initiate tree... and it took me most of 3 months, granted not grinding hard, just playing, just to get there. What alot of people didn't realize back then, and some still don't, is that Jedi at the low levels was REALLY weak (for my first month, I had to go out grinding with guild bodyguards). I practiced hard against a TKA build in guild, and that guy cleaned my clock all the time. And, once your force bar ran out, and it did very fast as a baby jedi pre-9, you were toast.
At the high end, yes, pre-9 jedi was very powerful. But that made up for the fact of how weak you were at the begining, and how long and how hard it was to get that xp .(marco xp exploitation not withstanding). I for one, never really saw the problem with Pre-9 jedi being very powerful, and not because I was one. They built in so many disadvantages (LS tef, where ANYONE of either faction could shoot you on sight when using a lightsaber, BH missions, permadeath, the fact that Jedi made NO credits and were expensive to play, and the list goes on) balanced out the extra power we had, and for the most part, kept Jedi in the shadows, like many thought it should be. For my money, they should have put in other unlockable "elite" professions, perhaps Crime Lord (elite smuggler) or Legendary BH (elite bounty hunter) or Crack Imperial/Rebel Trooper (elite commando, rifleman or pistoleer). But to the talentless hacks that run SOE, it has always been easier to take something away than add some new as a counter-balance.
But, everyone wanted a Jedi, so LA/SOE caved to player complaints, and now the game is what it is. And people have voted with their feet. And a once great game (at least to a large number of us) is now ruined.
Another "Game Enhancement" where jedi lvl 90 being handed out can sure help those who cry about.
/sarcasm off
nah now the Jedi is how it should be. All have their Jedi, it isn't that difficult to obtain and jedi is the most powerfull mellee class nowadays , like it should be.
Arn't we all not happy about the mystery of the force is in in the hand of the masses. Now that Jedi gives me the feel of being iconic, i know the force, i know everything about Jedi, lvl 90 delivers, what makes me happy . C'mmon let us have a pillow fight to find out who is DA best in Jedi. Hork you there ?

I guess you can make 90 in 16 days if you rush, I'm just 41 and have been playing nearly 2 weeks, I enjoy taking in the scenery and exploring, aswell as socializing
I don't see the point in rushing to 90 :P
Pre-cu Fanbois,
There will be no rollback.

Aye why rush - youll only get there find out theres nothing else to do and get bored.
Starter profession Jedi is the lamest misuse of the Force since EP1's "midichlorian" nonsense.
Of all the mistakes that was the NGE, that was by far the worst. I'd have rather seen them take Jedi out of the game than do that.
But, I've long believed that "instant respec Jedi" was the "hook" that the Devs thought would make the NGE more popular than the old game. Give away Jedi without any work. Of course on NGE day Jedi were by far the weakest profession, not even having any defenses! And they look stupid with the "poke swipe" melee non animations.
Gub'ment cheese, welfare, hand-out, low-budget, watered down, zero-cow-bell having Jedi... that's what the NGE brought us.
I thought it was 'easy' to level from say 1-30. After that... I seriously just didn't see a long term reason to do so. I have 5 CL90 Elder combat toons... what would another do for me? I hit max level in SWG and nothing is quite as underwhelming as the sense of accomplishment that final 'ding' brings. It just doesn't mean anything.
So, while I'm happy for those that can now level from 1-90 in less than a month... I'm still not getting the old-school 'warm-fuzzy' feeling that makes me want to log in and play. I did the whole 'Station Pass' thing, just to have access to multi-games... and so I didn't feel like I was really paying $15/mo for the steaming pile that is SWG. I still couldn't do it. Cancelled.
I really didn't rush it this was my third time from zero to 90 and you get real good at knowing how to lvl. The real content is on Mustafar and Wookie World with some quests that give you real nice items.

I got to 90 in about two weeks in the nge, pre-cu i got master tk in 2 days i double mastered in a day in the CU.... the NGE leveling system is not only slower(which i dont mind so much) it is so much more boring since you can not group grind anymore really like you used to be able to.
I suspect people cry about leveling today because its tedious (aka Legacy Quest), linear, shallow, and the game is designed to really begin whatever "fun" there is to be had at level 90. I took about 3 months to reach TKM because the game kept me busy protecting my fellow crafter friend as he dug resources so that I could craft my stimpacks and medpacks; crafting camps to heal my party when out in the open; doing factory runs to collect my enhancement packs; attending to wounded players in the medical center; attending to guild needs such as standing watch of our city's new factional HQ overnight; helping crafters collect resources for our guilds armorsmith to produce nice ubese armor; taking missions to make enough credits to afford my rent or my next buff, rather than crazy grinding at Fort Tusken or whatever...
In short, I was so busy and enternained doing so many things I did not feel the urge in those days "reach lvl 90" in 16 days.
LOL, so do you leave all other MMOs for the same reason?
