Damn

Well here's the thing about WOKF: the game play is good graphics not bad skills interesting and the characters well put together.Downfalls?: many bugs from CB1 still aren't fixed and ohh yeah its not F2P and here's why: you have no stats or something so the only thing that separates players is the equip. witch is craft/forge only from what i understand, so if you don't spill some $$$ in the item mall for some luck items for crafting you won't even get pass the town gates. I for one am sorry this game had some really coo features but the bad marketing implementation just killed the game right from the start. Damn

I wouldn't say that WoKF is any worse than any other F2P games w/ item malls in this regard. Most of the item mall objects are tradeable, so if you put time into the game, you can buy (for in-game credits) the items or even the currency needed to purchase them - I see a ton of people peddling one way or the other in town. As with most item malls, a good portion of the stuff in the item mall is 'fluff' - its there to make you look pretty, or level faster, but it doesn't make you a better player.

    - You can enchant to +4 with no chance of breaking;
    - All the mats are obtainable by getting a tool and hitting the ore, wood, and plant nodes.
    - Skill counts for a lot. A lottttt. If you're a knowledgeable player and you know what your skills do; you'll be able to easily take down someone who spends a ton of $$ to have shiny weapons but when it comes to combat stands there and spams buttons.

    Gaming? That's not gaming!
That's just people sat 'round in costumes drinking...

Hmmm...I have mixed feelings about this game...on one hand, it looks very 9Dragons like (which in my book is a good thing, I liked a lot that game's graphics & atmosphere). On the other hand, characters are very "down to earth" - only human (M / F), using common martial arts weapons - this makes the game very natural (even the customization is moderate, you can change some appearance features, but nothing radical, just enough to make your toon a bit different without looking like some sort of weird monkey). Armors & weapons are very nicely designed, and the game generally looks good.

Carefully choose your weapon, because that stats are quite different: for instance, you will have very good def as a staff user, but your dmg will be very low, while as an axe user, you'll have powerful attacks, but less def (this is the perfect berserker type of character, because you lose aggression at an alarming rate when not attacking and the only way to keep it up is to keep attacking).  IMO spear gives a very balanced character: decent def & attacks, lots of AOEs - and they're fast (the axe ones seem slower).

I also like the loot system (someone said it's garbage because the mobs don't drop any gold or gear - I say learn to play the game better, you might be surprised); you get a lot of materials than can be sold for good cash TO PLAYER SHOPS. Also, if you fight mini bosses (which are the various elite type/leader mobs - the ones that are bigger in size than the same normal type of mobs) YOU WILL GET GEAR DROPS & GOLD, and commonly rare items. So don't be lazy, pick up your drops!

The item shop sells a lot of junk: mostly things that make you look cool(er), or that let you gain faster xp. The thing is, the vast majority of them are timed (they only last just for a few days, most of them for a week tops), which in my book means junk (at least for the fashion/customization type of items). The good thing is: the item shop items are tradeable, and even the gold needed to buy 'em is tradable and can be bought with in game currency. So you only need to gather mats and seel them to get money in order to be able to buy some gold for the item shop...not bad at all, if you ask me, because with more work you can have the same advantage as the players that spend real money in the item mall.

Now as some previously said, crafting is not only "something to do when you're to bored to level up or pvp", but it's prolly for most the main cash source. If you limit to just hand you drop loots to NPC you'll end up with littl eto no money at all; but if you start to gather materials, then you'll quicky have more than enough money - it's a very fast and good way to raise money in the game, because you'll always find some ppl willing to buy them. Not to mention that it's way better to gather all the materials needed for gear upgrades, instead of buying them - they can get quite pricy.

There's also a upto 48 hr auction house. where you can place the minimum amount you'll take for the item and what you're really looking for. In general, this will help most items sell quicker as people will have a pay option.

There's the normal lag the whole map shops too but you have to buy a skill trainer for those. keeps lag causing shops at a minimum. Its something you can bypass unless u just really want one.

Its still Beta so it only has about 20-30% of its content added in. 60 is the max cap. You can get to 30 relatively quick. And there's double xp on the weekends.

Item Mall shops are a bit _cheating_ as stated above. You can safely +4 an item but if you want to spend like $30-$50, you could probably get your weapon to +10 without to much trouble. 1 is weapon safty, keep it from breaking (aka disappearing) which is a feature ive never liked. only ArchLord has done better.

And one to improve your chances of adding a + (5, 6, 7.. etc )

Its bad to have 20 levels of forging and only +4 is safe to do w/o breaking your weapon. It should at least go up to 10 before the weapon will break but keep a resk of failing and loosing all or most or ur upgrading material.

Just tried WoKF for the first time. I'd say the graphics are very good and play control decent. I like this style of game so I'll continue for a few levels then write a full review.

World of Kung Fu is worth to play. The graphics are good and the game itself has the potential to be a great game after the closed beta ends though the current content in the game is not fairly enough. Anyways I think it's a good F2P game compared to others.

I've been playing this for awhile now....I think this a cool game, they have detailed armor and weaps, good quests (there are still some bugs though but). The thing i really like is that u can do some quests again so it isn't really boring....But theres a problem that i really don't like that there isn't any penalty for a player who's like  higher than you and pk you (by higher i mean the person is some what higher lvl than u and have better stuff and its really unfair), because u are in a school that they hate or some other problems. Its not like I'm complaining or anything but when ever i see that person I'll get killed and then i lose exp, and it gets annoying when that player repeats to kill u on and on. So I'm kinda avoiding this game for now ( = ) and I'll wait till its open beta or when  i think it's good to come back.
