Pick some games for me.
I'm looking for some games to play.
Here's the criteria I am looking for.. suggest some.. based on this.
I'm not interested in anything I can't go out and get right now.. as I'm not planning on playing any of the Newer MMO's for a while.
1. Free or Pay to Play (if its free I don't want to have to buy in game items to succeed)
2. Mature Community (I don't mind kids, but would rather play with more adults.)
3. Solo/Casual friendly (I sometimes am not able to devote loads of time, or am not able to be at the computer at a certain time)
4. Quest System (I'd rather do quests for XP.. than grind)
5. World PvP (this is a game breaker right here. If it doesn't have PVP then its not even a contender. I don't mind the extra curriculur instanced PVP.. but it must have some kind of world PVP.)
6. Side things to do (Player housing, cool crafting system, guilds/clans, dungeons, just anything that is a side note of the main game.. for example.. WoW doesn't have many "side" things to do.. the main game is all there is.)

Mh, you played UO and SWG?
I do not know many of the newer mmos, but Eve-O actually comes quite close to UO in some sense, so it may be worth a try. (and you can start right here. the Client is free for download and trialkeys are easy to make).
I do not know of other good games with world pvp..maybe potbs? Never played that though.
If you are looking for a fantasy one Perfect World is free to play and are close to what you are seeking.
Anarchy Online is a game set in future with laser weapons and space ships, also match your criteria. But the game is pretty old now its been around since 2001 and this game acutally makes you think alot what to do, just too bad the grafix arent uptodate.. but it still beat alot of games due to its gameplay.
Isn't Shadowbane free to play now? That is the best game, well bit dated now but you said free.

It meets 100% of your requirements.
I thought I said .. Free or P2P.. I don't care. free games usually suck..so yeah don't mind paying for a quality game. I have played Shadowbane.. and clicking to move nixed that game for me.
I don't care for games where I cannot see my toon.. I don't really get anything out of flying around in a space ship.

biggest problem with it?
its laggy as crud. Well it was when I tried it anyway. 2nd to that was the combat system, which was pretty boring.

Yeah, I probably should. I just figured since it was in my "games that I have already played" list.. it wouldn't have been listed as a recommendation.

Yea, I wouldn't go back to Shadowbane unless I was really bored. Although, that click control was fine after you got use to it. If it was back at launch I say just deal with it since you'll never forget all the broken souls. "My city, My CITY.. it took months to make.... MONTHS .. gone in a day burning... I can't take it.. I can't I'm quiting" Sure, tons of fun but after everyone quit it really did suck bad. In the end it only had people like me who didn't care if I was ganked or my city burned. Just takes the fun out of it. Open pvp fun for awhile but ends in chaos.
