One of my favorite games of ALL time, and the very first console FPS I ever enjoyed (still one of the very few) was two months from being completed for development for the Xbox Live Arcade and then canceled. Apparently, Microsoft and Nintendo couldn't agree on liscencing rights for the game and thus the game was shelved. . .
What's even worse about this is that the game, which had an awesome multiplayer game on the N64, was going to have the same multiplayer online over XBL. Why god why!

Goldeneye Source is much better than the original anyways and they added jumping.

Would like to point out that the link isn't working. You get to some google site. Otherwise that's really sad. Don't have a Xbox personally but some of my friends have and it would be nice to be able to play Golden Eye 007 against them, simply amazing game.

Back int he day the 4 player multiplayer with the depth it had was unmatched. Now however yes it's not so good but goldeneye source is very enjoyable and upto date and really makes you think how great some of the maps were like cradle.

Do you know how many of my friends college careers wasted away when GoldenEye came out. All of us play an inordinate amount of that game as often as possible. It was never a party without an N64 and a GoldenEye 007 competition going on somewhere.
As much as I enjoyed 007 though...I think Perfect Dark was a better FPS (back then) and had even more depth. Adjustable AI, Mutliplayer vs Yourself, Rail Guns (no more hiding in corners unseen). Perfect Dark was actually my favorite of the two mutliplayer wise.

You and a few friends could take a team battle against the NPCs, it had a wider range of weapons. Coop storymode was pretty cool. It was a good game.
The N64 really did have some really great multiplayer games, alot better then some of the ones that are coming out nowadays.
Perfect Dark was a great game. Think I would consider that greater than Golden Eye 007. However I loved both games a damn lot, they were pretty much the start of my gaming "career".

It was cancelled because they were afraid gamers would wake up and realize that it was a hugely overrated piece of crap and not buy it.

The original Goldeneye 007 is one of the best games I've ever played, I don't think a new one would do it any justice.
