I agree how you seperated UO into two games, because they ARE two games.

I voted for pre UO:R, best game ever.

EQ by far. They have done a lot to mess with the game recently, but it really was the first 3D MMORPG, and many of the new "inovative" games out still leave out many of the things EQ got right. I just don't understand how new games can claim to be next generation when they leave out such basic concepts EQ had like falling damage, a realistic first person view, underwater action, doors that open and close, and so on. Everyone wants to correct the problems EQ has, but in the process, they often leave out the things that made it magic.

As for other fine points. DAoC had the best PvP concept I have ever seen. No trash talking, and PvP with a purpose. You could actually role play and PvP in that game without some d00d ruining it for you.

SWG has one of the best crafting systems out there. They still need to iron out things like the grind most need to undertake to make something useful (need master to really make the good stuff most of the time). The system is sound, and it allows players to make unique items. And by far the most unique and challenging crafting class in SWG is the bio-engineer. The making of creatures is amazing, and the challenge of gathering the DNA for those creatures makes it even more fun and unique.

CoH has the most fun character customization. While SWG may have the best out right now for characters that use clothing and armor in the game, CoH has an amazingly fun character creation.

I was going to possibly say FFXI, but that wasn't on the list. I might have to go with DAoC on this one. The grind is bad, the game is getting old, the servers are empty... But the PvP is really fun.

Well Motor City Online is my favorite MMO ever, but the most recent would be FFXI(how could you forget FFXI?).

I'm with you man, Motor City Online was still the MMO I had the MOST fun in, I've enjoyed alot of other ones, but I loved that game....too bad EA dosn't know how to run any MMO's.....they all fall apart in about a year. I have yet to see a game with that level of Attention to Detail, and Realism as far as Racing goes. I'm tired of all the racing games with "Lvl 1 Engine, Lvl 2 Engine....etc.".........with the right company behind it....like Turbine or someone, a new version of a game like Motor City Online would ROCK, and deffinitly Classic Cars! I loved spending weeks tuning a '59 Cadillac Eldarado to take down a '70 Mustang on a sharp corners track, hehe!

I was gonna try and start something near the end of MCO to maybe find people that would want to start a Server Emulator, but their forums would't work for me anymore, which is where pretty much everyone was.............ah well, that's my opinion :) I played Everquest longer, would have played MCO ALOT longer, prolly still playing it, if it existed! *sigh*

Why do people make lame polls every single day of the same exact thing over and over and over again.

You poeple need to get day jobs or find a game you like to plays o you dont have to spam forums every single day with "WOW OWNS ALL" and "WHAT IS THE BEST GAME" and other uselless things like lame flash games.

You people make humans a disgrace.

Here, another poll that includes some other games, most of hte ones I've tried.....and MCO of course, hehe, someone really needs to design a new Motor City Online type of game, but to be successful, as well as a GOOD Company behind it, it's needs proper Advertising and Promotion (which EA neglected after release), and it ABSOLUTYL has to have the thousands of Authentic parts like MCO, I don't want Engine Upgrade Rank 2.....I want to do like MCO, and Drop a Ford 427 Block in their, choose the Edelbrock parts I want for the engine, and tune it! Anyways, you vote!

UO used to be my favorite MMORPG ever. I dont want to go back to it now because im afraid of what its turned into. Its really sad to see such an awsome game go so downhill. And this new Samurai expansion looks like garbage, another blow to the Ultima name.

Yep. I agree. Totally retarted expansion. It was a great game. It was even still a good game when Trammel came out. Then it got ugly. It was better though, when there was no trammel.

Even though I hate to admit it, I did have the most fun on EQ. The other ones I've tried just lost content too fast, and didn't patch or expand in enough time. Or they just became another grind, even with the same graphics.

But I can never go back to the crack that is EQ. Wasted way too much time there for it to be healthy. ::::01::

I wanted to say FFXI too, but voted for DAoC instead. I liked the way the cities looked in there, but the epic battles were not for me.

FFXI was nice because my kids could watch me play without seeing too much violence, which is always a plus when you have kids.

I played Horizons for about 3 months and it ran out of content and there was nothing to do other than grind, I am not big into trade skills and Horizons uses that as a big part of their economy.  It was nto a bad game just not to my likeing.
