I'd say this is THE most watched mmo site across the globe and on the game swg and the argument that is swg, watched and commented by disgrunteled vets and current players. So id say every former swg player and current swg player graces these forums at some point.

The thing is i've always seen swg as the online version of the eurovision song contest, no one ever watches it (sopposidly) but its always reported to have a record number of viewers.

So to stop trollers diving into a discussion (which they always do and cause havoc) and give the game and its current/retired players a chance to have there say in one easy step.

Its just a poll, nothing more so please keep it civil.

  • SWG, the game, is dead, gone, in my past, I no longer expect or even hope that it will ever get better or (gasp) the old game comes back.  I've moved on from that.

The NGE, however, and those involved remain very much front and center, for me, as a burned customer.  I still play MMORPG games.  Therefore, it's my duty to follow where these people responsible for the NGE as they move on to other projects and other companies.  I don't think I'd ever want to play a game with a combat system Jeff Freeman, who was responsible for the NGE "Benny Hill" system designed, for example.

And of course, SOE is right out.  The sooner that company dies the better.  I don't look for them or NCSoft to survive, ultimately, SOE has been doomed for some time now, and NCSoft is looking very shaky outside their Korean grindfest games...

i played from closed beta back in 2003 till about 5 months ago. SWG will always be my love, but just couldn't find fun in it anymore. I am not bitter, it gave me MANY years of fun...something I was glad to have paid for. Since then i have done the infamous "Got over it™" and am now enjoying PotBS.

Stop 'd  playing it. It leads to nothing what can hold my interest. Could be done  better  if someone else had a chance to try. This one is blocking the great IP

This poll will prove nothing. Barely any current swg players use these forums, just a handful; even less post regularly. And what would be the point for all regular players to use these forums? to see some vets who cant get over something that happened 2 years ago post how awful they think game is now?

If the poll proofs nothing and you think its a waste of space, then why did you vote?

No if that was the case i would have made the vote in the veterans refuge of this site which would give veterans/retired players an advantage over the poll and no ones stopping anyone saying if they like the game or not, you have to remember not only do the current swg players have to listen to disgrunteled vets , the vets also have to listen to the opinions of current players who say the opposite that its amazing. This exchange between both retired and current players happens on a daily basis, so  the swg forum here is very active with both retired and active players.

I voted for the hell of it, might as well and i was simply pointing out that a very small minority of current swg players come here, so when the poll shows an overwhelming amount of votes for not palying, you'll know why.

Not that what you saying isn't true but in the same way  a very small minority of veteran swg players come here.  As expected there is  a 70% : 30%  ratio  in the result what correspondents with count of forum posts  in vet  and general forum (well before MMORPG staff covered and hide that fact   ). Bit of human sense tells me also the ratio   would rather go up in favour of  vets then to  lithium visitors, cause there is a higher possibility for these folks to not care anymore.
