Does anyone know if there will be alot of instances seperating different areas of the world?? I would hate for there to be individual instances for each major city. I havent heard anything regarding this except for a recent developer interview I watched and they said that King Conan will be in his own instance alone to avoid masses of people rushing to check him out. This is what got me wondering if they used instances for everything somewhat like Anarchy Online.Any idea fellas?
I happen to like WoW's world setup.

It would kind of ruin the immersion if you've done a long questline and were granted an audience to the king himself, only to find out there was a queue to meet him for the exact same reason as you where there for. This happened in WoW a lot! If they instance it they got more freedom for interaction between you and the King himself. They can script Conan's behaviour more easily.
Another part I really hate about MMO's is in the opening days. If quest mobs/items isn't instanced there a long queue to kill certain mobs or loot certain caches. I hate this! It's almost like a mini-game in itself on who's the quickest to tag mob's. This is a total immersion-wrecker. It's not what MMO's are about.
In the later stages of the game this would balance out when there's a stretch in levels between players. Therefore they logically should stop instancing as much - in my opinion. I don't know how many times I've teamed up with another player that also had problems with a certain quest-mob. Hell in WoW I've even teamed up with players from the other realm. Some would also argue that on a PvP-server the constant 'looking over your shoulder' is part of the game, even when you're questing. I happen to agree to this philosophy.
There's pro's and con's with both approaches. I guess open-beta will show if you like their philosophy or not.
It will not be fully instanced... not like GW... hope it got less instancing that CoX but... also hope it at least got some! cause it gives some freedom and a way to make "players dont disturb other players". So perhaps cities and some mish will be instanced and it will be ok.
I always thought it was creating a great immersion and a chance to RP. I guess, it just shows that no matter what you do, people will look at it in hundred different ways.
