    Because you should save your money for better things. FFxi is nothing special and its nothing good either , its also quite expensive lol. But it is better then DAOC.

    Umm ok tips i could give you is. Whenever you go out to fight talk to one of the guards at the gate and get him to cast sigil on you(this will allow monsters to drop crystals when you kill them)

    p.s Dont sell these to NPC's check the price of that crystal at the Auction House and then put it up for a litte less or a little more then its average price. Good luck image Oh and you also might wanna try a galka Warrior , there quite easy for getting started :)

    I played the game..wasnt a real big fan of it.  My tip is start as a white mage...trust me.

    as a white mage you will want to solo until level 9 or so.  At level 10 or 11 then head out to the valkurn dunes (south of San D'Oria) then you will spend levels 11-20 in the Valkurm Dunes.

     

    At lvl 20 head out to Juno and get a chocobo and head to the island located at the very bottom of Jueno.  Do that until lvl 25. At lvl 25 head out to Yuhter (sp) jungle and do that until lvl 30
