This is the first game I will be beta testing, despite the number of applications I have sent in for others. The character you have in beta, will you be able to bring them along with you when the game is released of will you have to start a new character?
Most MMO games do not have character transfer from beta to release. It gives the new people an unfair disadvantage. However, as far as I know Ryzom hasn't released word back yet.

From talking with GMs in game, I've been told that any characters you or I had in beta will be wiped before the official release. This is not official, but coming from a GM who has the ear of the devs, I would bet that our characters will be wiped. Just part of beta testing.

Well now I dont care because the way my character has been made. I have made too much mistakes when I was going through my leraning curve. But now I know how to play it I can make a more perfect character for me.

anyhow in beta u test and feel the game .... so in my case i dont even want to keep my character ....

I don't think I would even play a game that allowed beta toons to continue. Just my style. I like to start fresh with everyone else. It's a big enough disadvantage just having beta testers start with you. After all, they know all the little tricks and sweet spots to go right out of the gate. I'll never forget the first day EQ was released and I logged on. All level 1 toons and know one knew what to do. Took me a month to get to level 8 and fight a black bear. Now peeps get to level 50 in a month. hmmmm This is fun? But thats just me maybe, we all fall from a different tree. <grin>

Leon3986o - How could you have messed up your character's progression? The system gives you more skill points every skill level advancement - just switch to what skills/bricks you want. Gotta admit that's what I LOVE about Ryzom - no classes, you learn whatever skills you want, progressing in the skills you use without ever losing skills [like in UO]
If you play the open beta for 2 weeks and get wiped, yes you start with alot of the new players but you do have an adavantage in that you are very familier with the game play.
On another note; Does anyone know how many characters each account will be able to have and, will you be able to play/have characters on multiple servers?
