2nd Round of Beta Signups?

in World of Warcraft

Anyone think theyll be having another session to sign up for the beta test for WoW? When they opened/closed the test, i had a 8-year old computer, and it never wouldve passed the test they had for system specs then. And now I am interested in testing part of the beta.

If not the closed, anyone think they will have a signup for open beta before the release?

    Another sign up for closed in the US? no! ... As for open beta youll probabaly get in along with everyone else cuz they usually dont have a "Limit" to the number of people allowed in Open Beta cuz its usually a test for the developers as to how many servers theyll need come retail.

    I've heard talk that there will be one more phase of closed beta, mainly to test PvP on a larger scale. This is just hearsay so who knows.  I do hope there is another beta phase before open beta.

    I am fairly confident that there will be a few more before open beta. This game still has a long ways to go before the set release window for it. They said near the end of '04 so that is probably between October to December. So they still have plenty of time. I am guessing Open would be near the end of September then they close down testing beginning to middle of October so that they can add minor stuff like housing and other things. Then on to retail, baby!

    This is all just guesses. I have never been a part of any of Blizzards betas so I am not too sure how they operate.

    I wouldnt think they would close down Open beta testing just to work on other projects. Most MMOs I tested before left open beta up for a while even when they had gathered all their info. They simply developed everything else at the same time using their personal server and not uploading it to the beta server.

    Well the closed beta seems to be comming along pretty fast IMO.... Alot of the lower lvl content is being polished and they are implementing hunters next patch along with rogue and priest talents (Total of 4 classes with talents so far) and they are tweaking PvP a little.

    Not much they really need to test out after that... maybe the enchanting revamp....and balancing the "weak" classes... druids/warlocks... etc and add talents for the remaining classes. Only high end and end game content needs polishing.

    Dont see much else they need to work on do you? So I think open beta will come alot sooner then most people think. Im hoping late augest early september *crossesfingers*

    They are going to put out 2 class talents and balance them each push so this could be a while for open beta. =/

    Well once rogue and priest get theirs this comming patch there are only 5 more classes with talents left....But now that I remember that they still havent worked on hero classes yet I have a feeling its gonna be longer then I hoped =(

    They said they want worry about hero classes untill after open beta.

    [Katricia] Hero Classes: After achieving the maximum level in the game, players will be able try to become a Hero Class. Becoming a Hero will be very difficult and arduous, since you can only become a Hero until after maximum level, we do not plan to implement Hero Classes until after all of the game content is completed.

    I believe they said they wont work on Hero classes till everything else has been implemented and balanced. They didnt say when they would add them (Open beta? Retail?). So we dont really know. All I know is im going insane not being able to play WoW im addicted to it already and I havent even got to taste the fruit ... so to speak =P

    Its just a game now, find another to keep you occupied until open beta.

    btw, im guessing late september early october for open beta. that gives them 2.5 months till the holidays of open beta, plenty of time.

    Yeah. I am very eager to play this game now that I have seen the rogue in action. I have like dreamed of a game bringing me this fighting style that I was looking for. The Rogue is going to be great now that I have seen those videos, Vakktn.

    Now all they need is a way to be able to hold the daggers under handed. I wish they would do that, it would be really cool to see.

    I know what you mean. When I saw the rogue in action I nearly wet myself. Its everything I look for in a fighting class (Ninja/Assassin Type even though they use daggers and not katanas =P). And the idea on holding the daggers underhanded is a good one I hope they allow you to switch the way you hold weapons in the game that would be killer!

    Ive tried playing other games.... Farcry... Tribes (Oldie but still a goodie image) Hell I even tried playing SWG again a month or so ago before I sold my jedi account... OMG that game totally blows I dont even know what I was thinking HAHAHA! None of them seem to get my mind of WoW. Strange isnt it? *Bangs head against wall* I need WoW!!!!!!!

    Yeah same , argghhh its driving me crazy that WoW hasnt come out yet. I want it soooo badly , although when i was personally talking to one of the blizzard devs he said i could either hav WoW beta account or a rotted apple. Of course i did the smart thing any one would do and chose the apple imageimage
