Ok, so i quit WoW & AoC / WaR r far away from being relesed so im looking for a good MMO to pass the time, but not that much time
I just miss the MMO feel, so plz any sugestions on what i should start playing ?
My machine is capable of runing anything on the market today.
Tabula Rasa looked nice but many ppl spat in its face...so my interest kind of sank.
To make things short im looking for somthing more skill than gear based, that i can play casualy & has a good PvP value to it.
Hope im not to demanding

Consider giving PotBS a try. Despite some of the negative posts on this site, there are many people who actually like it. Maybe it doesn't have that much depth to it (yet) but hey, you said you wanted something only to tide you over for a few months.

Yeah, Pirates was my prime choice along with Tabula but as you said i herd it sucked so i kind of passed it...ill give it a try though & judge for my self
Personally right now i play Shadowbane. Its pretty awesome as far as pvp and having skill to win a fight is concerned. People hate on the graphics but if you turn them up all the way, which it sounds like you can, then i think the graphics rock. Not to mention most of the people you meet in game are pretty cool and will give advice on how to build a character if you need it. Best of all ITS FREE!!!
Right now.. there are no mmo's worth playing. FOR ME. I think it has something to do with, my first mmo ever experience cannot be topped. Some of you may agree. Man that first time sure was sweet.. redmoon... Only game on my computer right now is guildwars and if you've played it, you know it get's boring.
I found this site, top 20 F2P MMO's. www.freetoplay.org/item/36
tried a couple of them.. none of them have a good feel to them. maybe cause I'm canadian and can't relate to all these asian mmo's..

No, Runescape isn't a good game.

While I wait for WAR I am playing TF2 and I’m having a great time.
Do you HAVE to have an MMO? Maybe you could step away from the computer for a few minutes? At least until there's something actually worth playing?
Well, I guess the general concensus is that there is nothing worth playing at this time.
Unfortunately I agree. I spent my two years on WoW, but got tired of ppl with twinked toons and little skill making me look like a noob. DAoC before that... Best pvp I ever saw, but mystic couldnt leave well enough alone, and turned that into a gear based PvP as well. So I'm really looking forward to warhammer.
Until then I'm wasting my life in CoX. It can be fun, but after a while gets dull. But I dont have more that 2 hours to spend at a time anyway. ( Ack! I've become a casual gamer! )
I wrote a quick article on 'how to find a new MMORPG" on my website (Below). Also take a look at the LFGame boards. You may find a thread that can lead you in the right direction.
Good Luck

most games are fun until you listen to the community here. so often the forum here turns into a self growing ball of hate that spread to all who touch it.
I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.
Excellent article Czzarre!
Well written and informative, and besides that it just makes sense! Reminds me of why I still play CoH/V... Because I like to...

Anyways though I agree with you, CoX is a GREAT way to pass the time if you're just wanting a casual skill-based game to pass the time for a few months. I'm gonna pick it up again myself also, because Vanguard is getting a bit stale to me.
Currently Playing: Tabula Rasa
Gaming History: EQ, EQ2, SWG, EVE, Anarchy Online, CoX, GW, SRO, Rakion, Ryzom, WoW, Rappelz, Shadowbane, 9Dragons, DAoC, Dungeon Runners, DnD Online, Space Cowboy, LotRO, Vanguard, Fury, Hellgate
Wanting to Play: WAR, TCoS, Darkfall, Aion
I am waiting for an MMO on the Wii. Forget swinging your sword with a mouse click, I want to wail on something.
dontworry im a casual gammer too.......killing stuff over and over....it gets boring.....
I tried EVE Online for a change of pace. It was okay, that is if you can figure it out, but the combat is painfully boring, so I didn't even make it through the full trial period before canceling.
i know this is a newb question................... but what is CoX?...
I've been playing Eve while I wait for Warhammer (I finally gave up WoW for the last time about six months ago).
Despite the lack of dragons and fireballs it's actually a really good game. Well, once you get over the initial "wtf am I doing?" hump (which takes a couple weeks, people aren't kidding when they say it has a steep learning curve). It's not for everyone, but it doesn't try to be, which is a breath of fresh air in itself.
If EVE Online was twitch based combat, then it'd be awesome. The combat as is is far too reminiscent of Everquest: Zombie-like button mashing, and wooden animations.
Its what people call the game that is made up of City of Heroes and City of Villains - because X is commonly used as a variable. Its like saying City of Whichever ;-)
Well, since you're bored and I have a bias anyway, I'd suggest Bounty Bay online that does have PvP as well as PvE. The Client is a free download and you get 10 days free play. I'm sure you'd like it even for the community.
After ten days you pay a monthly subscription of about $15 a month and you will nothing extra unlike it's sister game VCO.
I don't see what you have to loose, if during the ten days you get bored then ditch the whole thing and press delete! So give it a try and don't listen to the unfair bad press on this website. If VCO can get a hype rating of 8.2 then it is beyond belief why BBO shouldn't get 10!

Trial of CoX you have nothing to loose it can get dull but dont worry.
Do the mobs in CoX still stand around waiting to get zapped? That made the game kind of strange.
