Would you pre-order the game?
I've already decided to buy collector's edition few days ago, but I'm curious for the rest of you guys. Plenty of people saying that they're pre-ordering now that they have seen it.

I havent seen the video, but I was always going to pre-order anyway. However, I've cancelled my pre-order of the standard edition because I really like the look of the collectors edition, but I cant find a good supplier of it in the UK :-(

i havent seen the video yet and i have made the pre-order for the collectors edition today so umm... yes, i dont think that one video could scare me off.. or scare me off if i havent seen it
No am not pre ordering myself , ive watched all the latest video's , encluding the ranger one. And its the most poorly animated and boring looking combat ive seen in quite awhile

I was glad to see the video, but it didn't influence my decision. I've decided not to pre-order and I'll probably be waiting a month or two after release to ensure that AoC is everything I hope it will be. I've just been let down too much by recent MMOs to pre-order another one ever again:) Damn you TB and VSoH! But for those of you who do pre-order please stay active on the forums so that us who are waiting will know how the game is going.
I was originally rooting for WAR, that was until I saw that AoC ranger vid! The combat looks fluid and enticing and it hasn't even been polished yet... That's got to say something. Pre-ordered my CE not even 5 mins ago

In general I don't pre-order anything. Ever. I figure that I'll wait till it drops then ask around and see what people thing of it. If the game is doing well I'll probably buy it, if it's 50/50 I'll buy it and see for myself and be the judge. If it does poorly I'll find out why and then ultimately base my decision on whatever information I can find.
Pre-ordering as well as waiting in line for anything for more then 5 minutes is just beyond me. Never understood those people.

I'm so stoked about AoC now.
Already pre-ordered mine, even before the ranger-video. What can I say, nothing else really appeals to me right now, so I'm putting my hope there. ^_^

Well, aside from the fact they have the release date as the 28th and not the 25th - GAME are always far too expensive, I'll just wait and see if Play or Amazon get it. Should be at least £10 cheaper and you will get it for the release day (usually with Play its the day before) I recon.
Back on topic, I have not seen any videos for AoC, but from all I've read, I have pre-ordered. Lack of playable games out at this time, companies closing doors, canceling projects played a part in my decision, and from what I've seen this game is the one in the near/far future to invest any amount of time and money into.

Poor trolls. They have a difficult task these days. Well the Lich and Scion of Set helped obviously, but all in all it's getting harder for them

Look for one thing am not trolling the game or even bashing it . Pretty hard to bash a game ive never played, alls am saying is nothing ive seen impresses me enough to run out and pre- order the game . I hope the game turns out for you guys i really do But myself i can wait till its been out for abit before i decide to play it nothing wrong with that
Search with the most obvious name on youtube and you can watch em all.

I agree with that.
I like how on Vent or whatever voice chat they were using they didn't talk about how cool AoC was (clearly more than one of them was in beta) but they wanted to go play Doom 3! So to those beta testers Doom 3 > AoC.
Also, I noticed the arrow animations shooting off to the side and not heading towards the target. Isn't there supposed to be a first person perspective when shooting an arrow? I didn't see it in the video. I hope there is an anti-kite code placed in the game as well, looks like the ranger toon had no problem outrunning those mobs and being able to turn around and shoot.
Well the video was removed a few hours after it originally appeared. Then again after a few hours it reappeared again, and remains up till now. I dont think anyone wants it removed
Concerning first person perspective, I suggest you watch the video again. He clearly uses first person to kill one of the picts (2-shotted).
I don't preorder mmorpgs unless i enjoy the beta which have been SWG, PS and EVE. The video looked like your standard mmorpg to me, no different from WOW and all that.
I just saw that video of the ranger and it raised a couple of questions:
Werent u supposed to aim in order to attack in AoC? and it seem grindish to any1 else?
And no i wouldnt order the game without the NDA getting lifted and hearing people's opinions with or without that vid
