tired of fantasy games... that and usually when there is that much detail to the graphics theres nothing more to the game other then that.

Well with any luck the ambiguous phrase "Emotional Fantasy MMORPG" means that its attempting to evoke emotion in the players - i.e. is not a grindfest. The gameplay didn't look particularly grindfesty - those were parties taking down the large monsters, which in my (admittedly VERY limited experience with them) Grindfests don't have.
The Graphics are great, and while that isn't a selling point, its definitely NOT a negative - shitty graphics are a real turn off at this point. Its hard to look at an amazingly detailed world like Crysis, Half Life 2, or Bioshock, and then end up with WoW level graphics and pretend they're anything other than really annoying.
I'll add it to my watch list (though hopefully by the time it comes out AoC will be an amazing smash hit that beat all the doubters and I won't need another game. Come on Funcom, no more bad launches!).
Anyway, lets try to reserve judgement based on one 5 minute video, half of which was cutscene. It could be anything -P2P MMOs have been produced before in Asia, and they definitely have their good points (Lineage, for all its grind, is supposed to have many amazing features, and FFXI, despite the fact I didn't personally enjoy it, did some new things).
In every country and in every age, the priest has been hostile to liberty. He is always in alliance with the despot, abetting his abuses in return for protection to his own.
The character models and armor designs does look alot like FF11 especialy those cat girls that look like Mithra. I hope its japanese and not korean because korean mmos are usualy if not all nothing but solo grinding.
Points for style on this one, seriously. Looks nice, but I hope it's not just a glorified asian grinder.

I was wondering about where I had heard the name Anima before, and it dawned on me that Wen-M, an artist on DeviantArt, has been doing artwork for an Anima boardgame for some time now. I can't help but think that the two projects are related somehow.

I too first heard about Anima Beyond Fantasy through Wen-M. Unfortunately, I do not think that the two are related, but it would be interesting for Anima Beyond Fantasy to have an online game!
It should be noted that it's no longer called Anima Online. Its name changed to Prius Online, it's currently doing sign-ups for CB2 in korea (which will run for 3 or 4 days I believe). It requires a Netmarble account to sign up for. More info (if you can read korean) can be found on the main site: game4.netmarble.net/prius/
Edit: Site doesn't really like FireFox or the addons for FireFox like NoScript.

Actually, i checked aion's videos and it seems like it's got just as good animations if not better ones. Also that one's due 2008.

Graphics look nice but I saw the infamous green blob as a monster..

The movements looks nice too. A clickfest game w/o the ability to jump seriously ruins a game imo.
Pats are gonna go 19-0 2008-2009 season
Liked the pets.
However this is screaming Linea... cough cough..
Well, at least they got that part right, i saw characters jump/ flip on several occasions.
Can't say i care for the characters models, just not my style. Seems to have F2P written all over it.

I want one of those rainbow colored bows! The game look fun too.
any idea on when or if it will be released in english?
It looks the SAME as every other mmo. When are we going to have something DIFFERENT?
it does have that different look then most mmo's n wat would u classify as different?
Yet another EQ clone. Ohh wait, now they are called WoW clones.
The definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.
I looked for some information online - from that I don't think this title will have an english launch.
an "emotional" mmorpg? What the hell is that?
Who says that?
