Iv'e seen people talked about the dwarfs beard grows bigger, and the orch's size grows by the time you level up your character... (know it's true)
But what about the your own house?
Read that you can purchase your own house and you gotta pay some taxes or something like that to keep it.
Another cool thing Paul small videos discovered was that you could take over keeps and hold it (unlimited time) with your guild, hold it as long as you can defend it from other players!
How about the Character Creation?
How much can you configure when you create your character, also read that you can get trophies from enemies, ppl when you kill em/it and attach it to your armor aswell.. That would do the dot over i !
THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING!! great and fun ofc ^^

Houses?
No this is not World of Homecraft. They've never once said anything about us having houses or the possibility of houses, I can't remember if they ever directly answered this question anywhere but I'm sure someone else knows
Your essentially a soldier, grunt, a peon in the war effort. Your job is to be out their killing and fighting like hell. If they put houses in after Launch I'd be seriously concerned. Because it essentially means you'd be Evicted from your house when your city is taken over. They wouldn't take the sissy route and protect your home thats for sure, because I know if I'm raiding someone's town I'd want to burn their house to the ground. Keeps are important to the whole realm to hold onto, but only guilds get the prestige of hanging up their banner.
Character Creation
They only recently implimented into Beta for player testing & they've been really vague about the options we get. So I figure we wont know anything about it until closure to launch unless they finally give us a sneak peek in the newsletter.
Trophies...you pretty much got it right...depending on the race you rip up their skull and stick it on your armor. How cool is that!

Actually, the sissies are against the idea of houses in cities. I think it would be cool if you can own your own house and it was constantly at risk of being burned to the ground. There is nothing like the incentive of protecting your own home and valuables against invaders. That's the thing that is missing from mmos. The incentive to actually DEFEND a city or a keep. In Daoc, people could care less if the enemy took keeps because there was nothing at stake. People, in general, are too sissy for something like that to ever be pulled off. Because people will cry bloody murder if their home and stuff was burned to the ground. I, for one, think it would add a great deal of excitement to the game.
This was only true on the blue servers. If you had played on Mordred/Andred you would have found that guilds took possession of keeps and did everything they could to prevent losing them.

I'm not sure that people will want to invest time into protecting their own houses, you cannot predict whenever an ennemy will pass by or whatever since this game will be rolling 24h/24h. The casual gamer will want to advance in the game, not stand still to protect in case his house is threaten.
There will be no housing in the game at launch. But -- never say never. DAoC added housing (Foundations Expansion) a couple years after the game launched, and I believe people did like the way they implemented housing.
Will WAR do this? Unknown.

Yes, guilds can own keeps as long as they can defend it. This was also a game mechanic in DAoC and worked well.
My only thought is that some valuable reason should be attached to keep ownership. Something like special NPCs spawned, crafting stations with vendors, special teleportation portals, etc. "Nice to have" stuff.

Character creation/customization is something that Paul Barnett in his blog mentioned as being implemented in this phase of beta.
So, there will be customization at character creation plus the "trophy" system where you can attach special items to armor slots plus armor will be dyeable plus your avatar will change its appearance as it "matures" (levels up) -- and I believe may change appearance as you choose your Career Specialization (at least I think I remember reading that ... but I could be wrong).

Like many, I'm all for the house ownership, but it's not likely at this stage in WAR. Perhaps a ways down the road there will be an expansion that will allow this. It would make raids very interesting wouldn't it?
