Looking for something similar to FFXI gameplay wise with proper storyline stuff  (not just generic, WoW-style quests) I would play FFXI again (probably will out of lack of choice anyway...) but now it's 6 years old and I'm not really anywhere with it I'd really prefer a game where I'm not over half a decade behind the player base. Even WoW's a bit old now. :/

Any suggestions?

    Lotro has quite a storyline actually but you might already know it (the story). If you want something recent the latest game is Tabula Rasa which is more of the sci-fi type which i don't think you were thinking of. Just a guess.
