game suggestions

in LFGame

Well, i played L2 for quite awhile and actually enjoyed the game, but the GM staff was not to helpful or friendly so a bunch of friends and myself left. We bounced around on some private servers for awhile but it does not compare to the community of L2. Was wondering if anyone could suggest anything BESIDES WoW that is fun to play and about the same game play?

    Guild Wars is nice but it usually doesnt last very long. Other than that maybe Lotro which is in the fantasy type or Tabula Rasa which is more of the sci-fi type. Both are fairely recent.

    You didn't actually specify much about what you were looking for other than "not WoW". Guild Wars has decent PvP so it would fit the lineage2 type more than the others.

    yea sorry about the vagueness. well really i liked guildwars other than as you said it dosnt last very long. i mean within a day i was max lvl and the pvp got old after a little while. i tried TR thought it was a pretty good game decent design but it just wasnt as good as i hoped. really i didnt mind the "grind" of l2 i guess thats because i played when the community was huge and parties were everywhere, but the pvp aspect of the game is really what i am after. you dont have to "consent" to pk someone there are/were negative effects to it unless the opposing fought back. also the option of quests. you arent forced into them like in some other free to play games. i duno if that helps any but i guess its a lil bit more info lol

    Sounds you don't want to go back only because you didn't like the GM but that you love the game other than that.

    yea, was kinda the problem i have with NCsoft in general. any of their games that i have played i have had difficulties with getting help when needed. other than that the game was amazing

    I've never played L2 but I hear that Last Chaos is a lot like it. LC is f2p. It's a far cry from perfect, but I am addicted to it.

    I have heard the graphics aren't as good as L2, but they aren't bad. It can be laggy in town even on a good gaming machine for some reason. And it's really hard to alt/tab unless ur in the windows mode.

    Last Chaos has a LOT of grinding that is unavoidable, but it has a nice crafting system, too, and all classes can get pets at level one (but pets don't do combat, they buff u, get ur loot, and grow to be mounts). LC has a really positive community with a guardian system (a high level player can be matched w/ u to help u out. If u reach lvl 20 in 10 days, the guardian gets reputation and u get a really sweet weapon). It has neat minigames like a slot machine that eats rare drops and spits out great potions, and a pandara box (treasure chest) that can spawn nice loot or an angry mob 20 levels higher than u (which, if u kill it, usually drops a god-awful amount of money). No auction house, LC uses the AFK stall merchant system like most other Korean f2p's.

    I'm not sure about PVP in LC. I'm on a non-PVP server, which I regret now that I'm hooked. I bet PVP would be a lot of fun.

    There seems to be a higher percentage of women on LC than on other MMO's. (I'm one of them). I think this may be why the community is more positive and helpful than some other games. (Also the GM's are very active - almost anal).

    i want to suggest u to try out Zero Online. its kinda robot game but the concept of gameplay should be the same.
