A small come back equals a wasted effort

I've came back to SWG about 2 months ago or so, got back into the game got the UI down again and tried pvp ,space , space pvp, and so on in short I did all the game now has to offfer even the new chapter 8 instances. I'm a bounty hunter also so I always have something to do however; I find the game still not as fun and vast as when I played 4 years ago. I enjoyed my time I spent in the game up until recently I have run out of things to do and find everything that I do is repetitive atleast. Now alot of games make you do the same things over and over but some change things up or make it more entertaining in some ways. I cancelled both my accounts last night as to I haven't been on in almost 2 weeks now. I won't sit here and say the old game is better and what not cause I don't think that I think each is good just the Old SWG gave me a goal and huge goal which was Jedi which took me along time to complete, Now it is a task to master ones profession also and get a suit and weapons and tactics down. I'm starting to run on so i'll shorten it up, if your a veteran wanting to return give it a try maybe you'll enjoy it keep an open mind. Some of the new features are very nice and wish I had them back pre cu and pre nge. If your a new player and love star wars jump in bria and bloodfin are the best servers for you (I'm a bloodfin vet fyi).

THe NGE fanbois are like the Vanguard ones and i don't understand how they can pay for total crap, i mean thequality of these games are soooo bad it just makes people like SOE think they can release crap and get away with it, EA have been doing it for years and it's people still playing these types of games that ruin the industry. On top of that they still stick up for LA and SOE even after all the lies and how they tried to rip us off with the expansion then announcing the NGE 2 days later lol.
I came back in december with a 21 day offer thing for veterans and i see no evidence the games changed since the NGE, sure theres expertise now but it's just a copy of a WOW talent tree system with levels aswel and tbh thats just complete crap and the game isn't designed for it so theres lots of flaws. Also all the content thats been added has been the same old bunker used over and over againa or the same characters and textures, just reused crap all the time and i don't get why they can't come up with something new.
The UI is still ugly and it's still got that horrible FPS style targetting which makes no sense what so ever as even if they dodge the shot the bullets just follow them like a RPG. I also think the run speed is sooo ugly and tooo fast it just doesn't feel right anymore, just feels cheap. I don't want to stare at a picture of that gay boy Luke Skywalker or w/e all the time because he's not my character so i want to look at mine lol, the skill wheel thing is just a ugly mess on the whole really.
All the social aspects of the game are broken which made SWG sooo great and i don't care how many people saying theres tons of people still playing the game, the only place i saw people was in a cantina with lots of AFK people and all my friends that used to play have all left.
I could go on but i'm just saying this game is complete crap and SOE and LA will never be able to forget this game because they'll always have such a bad reputation and people will spread the word. I for one would never buy another product from LA and SOE again, i may illegally download one but i wouldn't give them my money.

What do you mean by FPS shooting system? i just clicked on the auto target to switch it of!
i agree with the social thing though as i never hear anyone speaking as i cant get onto any channels.
I am only new. i have reached level 22 as my bounty hunter and as yet am having a great time. but i have not touched so many things so i really dont know about the bad bits. And yes the UI is ugly but i'm one of those that enjoy the game view and want as little as poss on the UI
you didn't have a class you made your own. it was much better then what soe offers in swg now.
and in the old days it wasn't an fps game. you clicked on something and then could put down specials you wanted to use. meaning you would just have to press a few buttons. combat took care of itself and it was much better and more fun.
and you are not hearing anyone as no one uses those channels. in the pre-cu days they would be full of people selling items or asking for help. now they are dead.
and you won't be having fun for that long once you hit 30 you will see how boring the game is.

I dont care whatever game i play, aslong as i got a Nice Friend(s) to talk to, and have a Fun Time, just talk jibberish and well, just go somewhere, wherever your feet takes you, you find something that might be fun. And the Planets in SWG are quite huge, explore!

Games i've played are WoW, Vanguard, City of Heroes/Villains *Though enjoyed Heroes more* and lots more.. The only games that actually keeps me interested are SoE's.. Somehow, all the hate people have made Against SoE, i think my feelings went to the other side, anyhow. Any MMO is a Great Game, though there are different opinions on different people. Wow was fantastic until its Expansion, now its just Grindfest & Repetetive Quests, even Gear looks duplicated..
Now SoE has Potbs.. And that game was great, atleast i thought it were.
Oh yeah, forgot, People who are against a game, or got their negative opinions, should keep them to themselves. Why try to hinder/stop people from playing a game they might enjoy.

Heh, I did the stuff highlighted in red most of this evening (well, when I wasn't in space). The FPS style play is optional.As for the channels, the difference between now and Pre-cu was that back then the game auto-joined you to those channels. It doesn't do that anymore and it's up to you to join the channels. As you can imagine most don't know of them or don't bother with it.
Yes the fps type gamestyle semes not to make any diiference to me as even when i dodged shots i still seemed to take damage so i just utrned it of. The way i see it is i would rather have the option and be able to turn it on/of than not have the option at all.
As for the chat problems! your right. the problem is i dont know what channels to join and where to scream for help in game
though i have found out how to search for channels now so maybe that will help me 
All in all i really can't see why this game is gathering so much stick! i understand that it's not everyones taste but that doesn't make it a bad game. I'm really enjoying it so far and am itching to get home from work so i can get back onto it. If i am a fool for liking this game then please tell me what is a good game and what i should be liking
Dodge is based on a stat mod that's not surprisingly, called Dodge
Parry is also available to those using melee weapons that essentiall does the same as dodge. You can improve your dodge chance by buffing your agility stat or using power ups and/or exotic attachments that directly buff the dodge stat.
I was actually quite surprised at all the hullaballoo they made of the combat system in Tabula Rasa - its not all that different to what we have in SWG and have had for more than a year. It plays like an FPS but with dice-rolls in the background. If you want to you can turn off auto-aim and aim manually and get a bonnus to your rolls. The only major difference I've seen in TR is the inclusion of factors like taking cover, movement, and kneeling in the rolls.

That is true now too. Kneeling and prone increases your critical hit chance and chance to recieve a glancing blow from a ranged attack. If your attacker goes Melee though, you will be more vulnerable to a critical hit.
