I have seen references to the term "IP" in several messages regarding games and have not been able to find out what it means? Anyone?

IP = Intellectual Property. This refers to the overall Idea behind a game. Things like Star Wars, Star Trek, Conan, Warhammer and Warcraft are all IPs.

IP when I go to the bathroom (someone had to say it)
for games it will most likely be 'internet protocol address' which is like the name of your computer.
if you're refering to a game based on say the battlestar galatica IP, it would intelectual proberty.
obviously both meaning will come up in games.

An IP address is also known as Internet Protocol Address.It is very important in Internet.Every Internet users are identify by their users using their IP address.IP address is Unique.You can get it from your Internet Service Provider[ISP].
IP address are two types.
There are Internal and External IP address
Internal IP means that your system IP address.
If you want to know your system IP address follow these steps:
Start--->run-->Type cmd
Then command prompt will display.
type ipconfig
then it will display your system IP address
External IP address means that your network IP address.
If you want to know your Network IP address then visit IP-details.com here it shows the details like ISP(Internet Service Provider),IP location,country,latitude,longitude etc..
