I just got my new system in and was waiting before I got my trial key and now its to late and I never got a chance to play TR.

Does anyone know if the deal is ever coming back? I was told something about gold spamming in the game and they had to disable them or something..

Any info would be great I guess I will have to wait for now :(

    Ya, they had to stop giving MMORPG.com the trial keys since they were being snapped up by gold spammers - a LOT of gold spammers.  Thank them for not having any public trial keys available.

     

    There's still people out there willing to part with their referral keys - there'svarious posts on the various fan boards that'll refer you to those willing to share.

     

    Just to give you a idea of how bad the problem was, I was on Orion one night where there were 24 gold-sellers accounts banned in one hour - good thing the GMs are quick to stop that nonsense.  It got to the point that one site was tag-teaming spammers - one spammer'd see the other get banned and quickly try to logoff to prevent himself from getting banned - didn't work too well :)

    Purely speculation on my part but I'd expect trial accounts to return once they find a means of silencing the credit spammers. Its a very annoying issue at the moment and the GM staff is having to devote a lot of time toward banning them when the show up to keep the chat channels clear enough for player use.

    I've had good response times from the GM's on issues I experience in the game and this additional issue isn't helping their work load I'm sure.

    never know some of these people on here asking for codes with only 1 post or just signed up to mmorg could very well be the same people spaming the chat channel.

    well at least i have only one account here, just havent had any reason to post anything until now.

    Thanks again for the key, just need to DL the game again, had a CRC error in gamershell download and that sucks...

    if you download the client i wouldnt recommend the gamershell link they have on their site, seems like others have had a corrput download from there too.

    Downloading from playNC ftp now, hope it works
