Actually I've been giving WoW a try through the 10-day trial, and as I was describing my first impressions to someone today my exact words were that it felt unpolished... most of my complaints are in combat where it looks and feels quite shoddy, sometimes where animations don't even match up or don't even finish, things like that kind of ruin the feel for me. Not meant to be a flame or anything but that's just what I've picked up on so far. I've never been a fan of the game's style so it's been very hard for me to get into, but I'm trying desperately to give the game a chance.
What kind of computer system and internet hook up do you have? WOW is the most polished and fluid mmo I have seen so far, so your experience seems a bit uncharacteristic. Even haters admit the game performs well.
That being said, I think WOW, LOTRO and COH are pretty polished. WOW has the most content out of the three and has smoothest performance. LOTRO is polished but needs to be expanded a bit. Still, it is worth a few months of game time. COH seemed pretty polished when I played as well, and had okay content.
There are other games with lot of content but I think they lack polish.
WoW is the most polished MMO out there. If you don't like WoW, you might also try out Lotro. But when it comes to "feeling right", I think WoW's best in that aspect.
PS. Is vkamich some kind of troll? Only 1 post and the things he claims of WoW seem so ridiculous and unbelievable. Because if WoW has done something right that one thing is combat being smooth, fluid, easy to get into, and combat animations matching really well what one's char is doing. /PS

My character honestly threw a dagger or some weapon at an enemy, and it flew out of their back, as I stood still while facing a completely different direction. How does something like that get overlooked?
